the set up was very easy, no special modifications needed, and the sound is clear with one slight adjustment for my old age hearing, and the picture and color are quite an upgrade over the 1080 models for me

Had to use this screen size to fit into a cabinet we wanted to keep. Displays and views well from 12 feet away. Easy to install and operate.

    Outstanding TV and Computer Monitor

I needed a computer monitor and a TV, and this monitor fills both needs. As a monitor, it is like having 4 high quality monitors in 1. As a TV, the 4K picture is excellent. Not all TVs in this price range have an optical out, which is great for connecting to your home audio or sound bar. I connected the TV to the Sony SA-MT300 active speaker system, which is incredible.

Wonderful quality tv. Picture, sound, easy to use. Bought a Sony so it would include Android TV, but haven't seen it and can't connect it to my Pixel2. Otherwise would be 5 star

TV was easy to hang it is very light and can be done by one person. It has nice rich color and good blacks. The room it is in is very bright in the afternoon and the picture is not affected.

I was looking for a TV for the bedroom but wanted one that had smart capabilities. I usually bypass SONY because U felt they had gone downhill, but decided to give them another chance based on what the Best Buy sales guy told me. The picture on this TV is nothing more than stunning, and when I compared it to the others on display, there was just no matching. The best word to describe the screen resolution is vivid. When looking for a TV, I would definitely check out what SONY has to offer in the future!

I struggled to find a 43” TV that had a stand that didn’t exceed the size of my TV table. This one doesn’t have those “spider”-like legs that seem to be on every other version. The picture is great and the “white glove” service to install and make easy was excellent.

Picture is good but speakers are awful

I bought this TV largely because it had the best picture of the TVs that were on display in the showroom. The difference was very obvious, so I bought it and paid the premium for the Sony name. Once I got it home several problems showed up. 1) the speakers are truly pathetic; 2) implementing a sound system results in video/audio sync issues; 3) interaction with Vudu has problems; 4) can’t add new internet interfaces; and 5) the Media function can play songs from my PC, but the volume oscillates during playback and is very annoying, so I don’t use this feature. Sound Problems: I have never had to buy a sound system for my TV, until now. The speakers on this TV sound like a cheap 1960’s transistor radio with no bass and set to mono. They may actually be worse, but I haven’t heard a transistor radio in a long time, so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. So I bought a 5.1 surround system ($235). Then I started having video/audio sync issues. Looks like people are speaking a foreign language dubbed with English. You can influence this problem by manipulating the “AV Setup” menu selection – Digital Audio Out. The settings are Auto 1, Auto 2, and PCM. Auto 1 doesn’t support multiple channels and results in the worst sync issues, so I don’t use that one. The sound system I bought posited that an HDMI connection would provide the highest sound quality, so I started by using the HDMI 3- ARC connection. After a few weeks of irritation about video/audio sync issues, I contacted the Geek Squad (under warranty) and they said there really wasn’t anything they could do about TV to Sound System issues. They said I would probably have better results connecting via the optical cable. They were right. The results are better with an optical connection, but picture and sound sync issues still abound. Very annoying. Vudu Issues: Vudu is not licensed for Sony Bravia, so it’s fortunate the interface works at all. I have 3 issues: 1) 4K (UHD) movies will only play for a few weeks after you do a factory reset on the TV. Then they quit working. I bought a Roku stick ($59) to view my UHD movies from Vudu; 2) some movies on Vudu will play audio but no picture. The Roku stick fixes that also; and 3) Sound quality when getting streaming content from the internet is only marginally influenced by this TV. It apparently relies on the source. So if I want to hear good sound quality on a movie like Burlesque, I have to stream it thru my $99 Phillips Blue-Ray instead of my $550 Sony TV. The difference in sound quality is significant.

This TV is fantastic. Was specifically looking for a 4K HDR TV and this one seemed to fit the bill. It has *actual* HDR (not simulated) as well which is a plus. Overall I love it and can see it lasting for many years to come!

I will preface buy stating that I also own the SONY 65" XBR65900e which has an absolutely phenomenal picture quality, so maybe I'm just spoiled. But I was a little disappointed in the sharpness of the picture on this 43" set, but after firmware upgrade and picture adjustments , overall pretty good. Considering the good viewing angles, minimal reflections and picture quality I don't believe there is anything any better in this size. Therein lies the problem: why can we only get the really, really sharp and clear pictures in the larger (50" above) screen sizes???

I have a small house, so I upgraded from a 32 inch. This TV is as big as I can go. I always wanted a Sony Bravia, although was very pleased with my last TV (Samsung). The picture is beautiful. Also, this was my second open box TV purchase, and am not disappointed. The salesman was great - answered all of my questions & listened to my needs. He also helped me pick out a sound bar and a CD player.

I'll admit to being a Sony-phile. Still have a flat screen in use from 15 years ago! This new Sony has an awesome picture. It was my first foray into "smart" tv. It has built in streaming for all the biggies: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, YouTube, and Pandora. But I've since learned that it is NOT a Google Android TV. I've been a Roku user, and was told that I won't need it anymore. But you only get the apps that Sony contracts with. No adding HBO Go or other options. I'll keep the roku on my old Sony. For now - this new 4K will rule the living room. Next time, I'll do more homework before I buy!

Picture quality is excellent. I use an antenna or a Roku and both work great, except for one thing. When entering channel numbers for OTA viewing, you have to enter the channel with decimal side channel or it says it's not available. Any other tv I've ever had would at least jump to the .1 (main) channel on its own. I can scroll through all available channels consecutively, but that is usually a waste of time unless I dump most of the side channels. I know this is not an Android tv, which would eliminate this problem, but it is a little irritating.

A long time Sony XBR disciple, I've always enjoyed their televisions(currently own a 55"xbr 4k). This tv went into a spare bedroom and replaces a 32" 720p LED. The image quality is outstanding and the price was excellent! Easy to install and pair to my home network. The tv is light, thin and very sturdy. Really enjoy my purchase!!!
