Force Restarts

If I fall asleep with an app running - lets say Max or Hulu - the tv stalls on that app like its frozen the next time I turn it on. I have to force restart constantly. Until I do this, any app I use boots me out or doesnt load. When the TV is running smoothly its fantastic, but I know once every few days Im going to turn it on and have to hold down the power button because none of my commands will work.

Posted .Hi Jab123, thanks for sharing your experience! We're genuinely sorry to hear about the constant restarts you need to perform in order to unfreeze the TV. We understand this can be frustrating to deal with. We'd like to share some recommendations to take care of this problem.
1- Make sure your TV has the latest software version 60755000. You can check this by going to settings > system > about > system software update > update the TV software
2- Reset the TV to factory settings, this will erase everything on the TV, in case the issue is due a glitch this should fix it. Please go to settings > system > about > reset > factory data reset

Google TV doesn't work

The TV has become unwatchable due to Google TV. The streaming is slow and slower despite "excellent" signal strength. Updating the software does no good. Trying to pause something means it won't restart. The picture can be great if you can actually load a channel. Lately when it loads the picture is not clear. I plugged in my Roku player from a another TV and had no problems. Good picture, no problems loading or playing. What else can it be but the Google streaming software? Do not buy any TV with Google TV.
