Picture quality whether looking at tv or as a monitor is crisp and perfectly brightened by no means am I a videophile however I know a decent picture when I see one. If one wants theatre like sound naturally as with any tv you will want to outfit tv with a nice surround sound setup otherwise the sound is as expected for a tv.

My sources are a Roku and a Sony blu-ray player through a Yamaha pre-pro. My sound is off of the Yamaha, not this. I'm mostly sourcing video at 1080p which is upscaled by the Yamaha to 4K. This screen has a far clearer image than did the 39" Sony HD screen it replaced. The smart color and black enhancements are both useful, and the resulting image close to cinematic. The motion enhancement however I've turned off.

Given the limited space we have, this truly seems like the best available... Yes the speakers are not great, but we will have a soundbar hooked up shortly, so it won't matter. The picture is flawless and to me that should be the only basis of comparison... Was watching golf the other day (a rarity for me) and it really gave me an idea of how nice the picture quality is... I would recommend this to anyone looking for 43" UHD

It has a great picture and we are very happy with the quality of the sound. It had to be able to be set up on a stand we already have so knowing that the feet are 21 1/2 inches apart helped make our decision easier. Also the feet are nice and sturdy making it secure on the stand.

We just wish that we had been able to communicate with the staff that assisted us that for this model we would need to purchase blue tooth earphones for one of us to use headphone while the others listened on the external speaker ---- or showed us a model of TV that would work with the headphones we already had.

Not a good experience as a computer monitor

I had previously used a TCL 43" TV, but I wanted to switch from a VA panel to IPS, which this Sony one is, to have better color preproduction at the edges of the screen since I sit so close. This TV operating system is annoying to use over the Roku one on the TCL. Also, you need to set the TV up for use as a monitor - put it in game mode, make sure the HDMI advanced connection is on so its 4:4:4, however, every time the TV goes into sleep mode, it resets this, even though the settings are as I left them, so I have to restart the TV, it's so annoying. After researching online, this is a known issue if you want to use it as a monitor, I returned it for this reason.

Initially purchased a Samsung 7 series but had software problem and didn't like the slow response of the remote control. This Sony was twice the price, has a very nice picture and I like the remote. But there are occasional software issues: twice so far on starting the set it was unresponsive and I had to unplug to reboot. I may yet return it, but then what? Also this is troubling because I am looking to get a 75inch set and that will be too large for me to return to Best Buy.

There were no issues with the Bravia, just that it was not a "Smart" TV and was unable even with a Roku to enjoy some of the streaming services available. This Sony has an Excellent picture and I was able to hook up and use the existing sound bar I had purchased for the Sony Bravia. So glad I made this investment.
