I had them positioned close to each other for an A-B comparison. The new TV had a sharper picture with much better shadow detail. The real pleasure was when I put it into the cabinet and hooked it up to the HE system! The picture quality is fantastic even with older DVDs! Paid a little more, but got a lot more!

I love my Sony - 43" Class - X800H Series - 4K UH

I had to up grade to the 43" size because Sony decide to no longer make the 40" model I had. I love the picture and sound quality. I am also falling in love with the YouTube app being available on the TV. It took me a little time to learn how to use it because of the technology changes. I am still learning.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is my third Sony Bravia TV in 14 years and while I found this TV great in the sharpness of the picture and the sound from the TV speakers good, I have found it odd that each of the TV has less and less inputs. My first Bravia (model KDL-26S2000) had 7 inputs, my second (model KDL40W600B) had 6 and now this one has 5 and one of them is a 3.5 mm to composite cable which I have yet to find one that will work (i purchase 3 so far).

Great tv for anyone looking to modernize.

My last one was a crt type that lasted nearly fifteen years, so this is my first smart tv which is also a 4K resolution. Since I had no choice but to buy it blindly, I went on Sony's reputation along with wholehearted advice from my brother. Picture and function-wise, I am very content. I stumbled a bit getting the router to work it's wireless ability with the tv, but before I was about to call for help, I looked on the back of my router, and lo & behold- the wifi name and password were shown. I'm only using cable and youtube so far, which is all I need at the moment. My only complaint is the sound. These tv's are way too skinny (and fragile!) to accommodate decent speakers. I see no good reason to make them a mere few inches thick at the base, taking away space for decent good-sized speakers. Evidentally this is the norm for all brands, so we have to expect to add the cost of a soundbar to complement the tv. That's another item I especially wouldn't chance buying online.

It's like looking out of my window as if my neighborhood was that exciting. But on the downside, it's a glorified computer that needs to be restarted and somtimes reset, which I have done a few times already. I suppose this is the way technology is today. I mean I grew up with three local channels and when UHF was born, they added a fourth. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Out of the box, picture quality is spot on. I have only Sony TVs in my house, very loyal to the brand. Wide viewing angle, sturdy stand, ....doesn't have the issues reviews mention with other brands built on the cheap. The sound works for me, no need for a sound bar. This is a secondary TV for me, great for a smaller living area, den or bedroom. Highly recommend.

The sound is quite good even without running the audio through our sound system. We'll have to get a good 4K video player to really get full use, but the TV even makes Comcast's 720P look good.
