Great TV if you want Android and use SlingTV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I really like this TV mainly because it has android interface and integrates SlingTv well and has Airplay compatibility so it works with all of the services I wanted. The picture quality to me is similar to the Samsung I have but better than a Roku. I think Samsung TV's are a little better deal and have airplay compatibility but do not allow SlingTV to import OTA channels with their AirTV (not to be confused with Airplay). Roku TV's just run Sling very slow by comparison to either Samsung or Sony and neither Roku or FireTV utilize Airplay for apple devices.

Does not work well with Apple TV controller.

Does not work well with the first Apple TV controller. It is slow and cannot fast forward or backward on the Smart Android TV.

Good Quality but Lacking in Installation and Apps

The smart TV functionality is not as good as it could be because Google does not have many of the streaming Apps such as Spectrum. I had to install a Roku in order to have access to a lot of the streaming Apps not installed on the smart TV. I installed this TV on an already existing ceiling mount, replacing the old screen. The instructions were not very helpful for mounting. I had to experiment and find some machine screws to attach to the mounting bracket.

Sound thru TV awful. Sound thru stereo system tough to get to. Sales said TV had 2 RCA out connections--but it didn't. Pricy sucker too! And remote not at all intuitive. The salesman was a "used car salesman". He tried to remedy the sound problem and gave me a $60 unit for free ... to hook up to the IN HDMI hook-up. When I went back, found out he "no longer works here". The 2nd salesman (a small-built black guy) steered me right--should have had him to start with!

I am replacing a Firetv which I purchased a few years ago which I did not realize was less than the quality construction in your average brand name sets . I have always owned Sony TV and after the experience I had with the firetv I will hence forward will only try to buy Sony Tv . I also like to mention the assistance I received when I went shopping at Bestbuy , the associate was very helpful and offered the extended warrantee , which I am still waiting for the gift card to be sent to me .
