I bought one on eBay and it's working fine. My advice by the rate power rating for you TV damage it. Just because it turns on does not mean it's the right power supply!

Sony missed on details that make a difference

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased 3 TV’s within two weeks, two Samsung’s (Q60) and this Sony Bravia so similar price point. Overall, this Sony Bravia TV is disappointing. The picture quality is a little worse than the Samsung and took a lot of fiddling with the settings to get a good picture. The edges of people’s shirts were noticeably digitally distorted and the depth of colors looked off out of the box, so was very frustrated until spending a lot of time on different settings. My kids noticed it right away as well. You do have to be mindful of the picture source (e.g. app vs cable tv) but we compared using same source and the Sony had a lot of issues out of the box. After spending a lot of time adjusting the settings it seems about on par now with the Samsung we purchased so I do think you can get a good picture from the Sony if you take the time to fiddle with the settings. Second, the power cord is way, way too short. We hang this TV on the bedroom wall and the power cord connects directly from the TV to a transformer (comes with the TV) but the cord is so short the transformer hangs off the ground behind the dresser. It’s designed in a way that you can’t simply add an extension cord. Plus the transformer is really, really big and b/c it is hanging behind the dresser we can’t push the dresser all the way back to the wall anymore. This is very disappointing and feels like Sony really didn’t think through how users will utilize the TV. In comparison, the samsung power cords were plenty long and go directly from the TV to the power outlet without any sort of transformer box, a very clean and easy design. Third, the Sony remote control is significantly larger than the samsung remote control. It almost feels like we bought a TV with a 10-year old remote as it’s one of longest we have in the house (longer than a TiVo remote too). Very disappointing as I had always thought of Sony as a premium brand, but based on this TV I’d say they’ve definitely slipped backwards and lost sight of how customers will use their products. Apps are similar with all the usual suspects and so far work fine without any issues. Overall, for the price I am disappointed with this TV and strongly considering returning it. The only reason I’m hesitating is b/c it’s such a pain to take down and return, and I finally have it set up although the power cord and transformer box is still an issue. If I could do it over again I’d take the Samsung over this TV. Two stars b/c I was finally able the get the picture to be about on par with the Samsung and it is a good picture. Also no issues with connecting it to a standard VESA wall mount bracket.

I only wish that SONY would come up with a different method for holding the TV (legs). While they may be sturdy, they don't appear this way. Something more substantial would make them appear to be holding the TV more safely. (This is a little hard to explain.) I have no other complaints.

1 Secure the Stand for the TV.
Make sure the Stand can adequately support the weight
of the TV. Use two angle braces (not supplied) to secure
the Stand. For each angle, brace use the appropriate
hardware to:
• Attach one side of the angle brace to the wall stud.
• Attach the other side to the Stand.
2 Secure the TV to the Stand.
Use the optional hardware listed as follows (not supplied):
• M6 machine screws (screwed into the TV’s rear cover).
• A screw or similar (attach it to the Stand).
• Rope or chain (strong enough to support the weight of
the TV). Make sure that there is no excess slack in the
rope or chain.

Great TV to Have for a Bedroom

My only complaint which is mostly likely a manufacture defect for my TV is that it turns on by itself. I turned off autoupdate timers etc... I would defiantly by Sony again.

Awesome TV, Excellent Picture & Sound

The top bezel was loose on my tv and it was difficult to fix. Still doesn’t feel secure but I don’t want the hassle of returning the tv over a minor cosmetic issue. That issue aside, the 4K gaming looks amazing on this screen!

He was so excited to connect the PS4 in his room. I had order it for same day pick up. Employees were quick and efficient. Only complaint I have is the screen was loose/pushed in on the left side. Came this way. TV looks fine but will it affect the TV later???
