With regards to your concern, if you selected Set up Google TV at the initial setup, movies and TV recommendations in For you come from your list of streaming services. By selecting Manage Services from the Home menu, you can change or enable your list of services if you want to display recommendations based on your viewing history and subscriptions as well as continue watching your favorite show where you left off.

However, if you are referring to a show you're watching from an HDMI device, you can change the TV startup behavior to Last input if you prefer your TV to power on with the last watched TV channel or external input instead. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience using your BRAVIA X80K 4K HDR Google. We’ve taken note of your feedback about the ABL kicking in. Unlike OLED TVs where if the same image is displayed repeatedly or for long periods of time, image retention may occur. However, LCD TVs are less susceptible to image retention. Having said that, the X80K includes an embedded Light Sensor that optimizes picture brightness to room conditions, boosting brightness in light rooms, and reducing it in dark ones, so you get the perfect view. Picture settings also allow a wide array of changes to color, contrast, motion settings, and brightness that can improve the viewed content on your TV.

This TV supports HDMI eARC/ARC and has a panel refresh rate of 60Hz. This TV can output PC content up to 4K 60 FPS depending on the game title. If 4K at 120 Hz is your priority, this is only available for the 85" X80K model. Sony 2022 TV models X85K and up will support HDMI 2.1 via HDMI inputs 3 & 4 (4K 120/ALLM/VRR). For optimum picture quality, we recommend that you set your computer to output video signals according to one of the timings listed in “Computer video signal specifications”.

Thank you for purchasing our BRAVIA X80K. We're sorry to learn you've been running into difficulty. Make sure the audio system has the latest software version installed for the ARC feature to work. Connecting your AV devices via HDMI cable, and enabling the Control for HDMI (HDMI-CEC) on your AV devices and BRAVIA Sync function on the TV provides control functions between different A/V devices. It allows you to control CEC compatible devices with one remote control. However, if you're experiencing unexpected issues, such as if the TV raises the volume by itself or sound bar system connected to the TV automatically mutes, refer to the steps provided on the links below to resolve the issue:

In addition to the feet that come with this TV, this TV is also compatible with most table-top stands and wall mounts that support a 7.87 x 7.87 inch (200 mm x 200 mm) VESA mounting pattern and can hold the total weight of the TV (Approx. 22.3 lb (10.1 kg)).
