    I had a Sony Bravia for 20 years. When it was time to upgrade it was a no brained to purchase another Sony Bravia. Love this tv- picture is superior and set up was very easy. Only minor complaint is that the buttons on the remote are a little too small . Otherwise I am very happy with my purchase.

    I used a 27" Monitor prior to this unit and it ran great but I wanted something bigger and something to last me hopefully a few years. So I found the Sony x85j 43" and that fit what I needed not only to use as a PC monitor but also to use with my ps5 on 4k@120hz, PC quality is good & ps5 is amazing.

    When it works, it’s the best TV I’ve ever used. I’ve had to factory reset it 4 times, hard reset it about 20 times, and reach out to Sony Support 5 times; if that sounds like a headache to you, then maybe you want to consider another option. Granted many of the issues I’ve been experiencing likely have less to do with the TV and more to do with the Google TV operating system itself. I experienced a sleep timer bug that would immediately put my TV to sleep the moment I tried to set a timer (thankfully a factory reset fixed this, that would’ve been a dealbreaker for me). There’s also been numerous occasions when I’ve gone to turn on my TV and it simply does not turn on until I unplug it and plug it back in to the outlet (this is an ongoing issue I’m facing). My most recent ongoing issue is with Wi-Fi. I have fast and reliable 400mbps internet and get great coverage in my room, but for whatever reason the TV disconnects ever so often and the only solution is to do a full restart. If I had the choice to go back and choose another TV I certainly would, but this will have to do.

    Hooked it up to my PS5 and tweeked the settings a bit and it looks phenomenal! Just waiting for the PS5 VRR update. TV also comes with a ton of apps and streaming services. It’s built well and looks great in my room. I highly recommend for gaming, but it’s so a great streaming TV.

    This TV is straight up awesome. The refresh rate @ 120hz means butter smooth pictures. 4k and HDR make everything look fantastic. Packaging was good, TV had no damage. Price is a bit high in my opinion. As for longevity, wait and see.

    Not the cheapest TV around but well worth the extra $$. So many video settings and easy to adjust for night-time viewing. Picture is crystal clear and sound also better than average for a small set. Had the Geeks mount on wall and totally loving it!

    So far the Sony Bravia has been great - using as a TV or a PC monitor. Have not messed with the 4K resolution, but we have used the monitor with a laptop and the quality is excellent! Easy to setup and easy to use...recommended.

    This TV has a great picture. Just set it on "Auto Picture" and it will always be the best. I was surprised that the sound was so great given the size of it and how many sets need a sound bar. You cannot go wrong with this set. Plenty of inputs in the back. We are very pleased!

    I was restricted by the cabinet this tv would fit into, and am super happy with the product. For the cost, I expected to be, and the set up, delivery, etc. was exactly what I expected. Rare, these days! The quality is super, and the remote, though a bit hard to get used to, is good.

    I purchased this for gaming on the Xbox Series X. It looks and sounds great. Crisp and clear graphics, multiple feature and apps available, and overall a great television for gaming on. My only complaint is for the tech savvy person who wants to run 120hz. It is possible, but only at 1080p not 4K. It can run 60hz at 4K. Otherwise it’s awesome

To set the TV HDMI® Signal format to Enhanced format for your source device to recognize the 4K 120Hz capability of the TV. Make sure your device is connected to the HDMI 3 or HDMI 4 input on the TV using the supplied Certified Premium HDMI cable. 1. Select Settings → Watching TV → External inputs → HDMI signal format.
      2. Select the input the device is connected to (either HDMI 3 or HDMI 4), and then change the setting to Enhanced format.

    Overall its a great TV, hard to adjust picture settings and not as bright as I thought it would be for the price. What made me get it for the price was the high refresh rate for gaming. The remote is nice and has a lot of smart features.

    I bout this because my Oled was staring to show massive burn in and that was a huge no bueno for me. I am very please with my purchase. The blacks are dark. colors are crisp. 120hz gaming. but oddly dolby vision is not working possibly an update will change that in the future.

    the picture on this tv is phenomenal. sound quality is excellent. there's a big difference between my old 2005 flat screen and this. my next purchase will be a Sony blu-ray player to match this tv. i highly recommend this tv to anyone who is a visual person. great job Sony :)

  • Best 43” TV on the market, but not a fan of Google

    We bought this 43” Sony because it was the biggest TV we could put in our Motorhome and there isn’t much on the market for ‘quality’ TVs at this size. First off, the quality of this TV panel is INSANE. However, I much prefer WebOS or the Roku interface over this Google crap. We were having so many different issues: wifi connection issues (like only Netflix would work); can’t easily swap accounts on YouTube (hey Google don’t you own YouTube?); and just general dislike again of the UI. So, I set it back to factory settings and hooked up my Roku as our streaming device and luckily the stock remote controls it! You have to use the Display button to access the home button or options menu but easy to get used to. If it had a different UI, I would easy say it’s the best TV that I’ve owned this far.

    Sony Bravia 43" class X85J 4K UHD Smart TV was an excellent choice for my purchase. I did not have room for a huge screen, this model is just the right size for the allotted space without sacrificing picture quality.
