    Smart has features that I don’t need but seem to be forced to link to them. For example a google password is required and I would prefer not to use this feature but the system will not operate without using it. It has many app features that I don’t want or need.

    It's a nice medium size tv. Although, I'm not thrilled about the picture colors. They change from channel to channel. So sometimes I need to adjust the colors. Also, when looking at the tv from a side view, clarity is off.

    Awesome TV for my ps5. Just make sure to use enhanced format (without Dolby vision) to get 120 fps. Also make sure to update the TV with recent firmware. They have included VRR

    Good average TV. Not impressed with Dolby Vision. I like HDR10 better. Came from the factory with some small scratches on the screen, but they only show up in daylight, so I kept the TV. Inspect your closely when you get it.

    Great picture and works well with my PS5, but sometimes when I turn it on I have no audio and have to reset it. Also sometimes when I turn it on it resets itself anyway.

    Works great so far with the PS5. However, when I use Tivo's quickmode the volume drops off dramatically (did not have this problem with my previous TV at all). Other than that, its doing its purpose well.

    This TV was not for us. It was returned. I did not enjoy the 3D images on the screen. That’s not the technical term but it hurt my eyes trying to watch this TV. Others may appreciate that effect.

    Almost 1 month with X85J, 43 inch TV. Occasionally, i lose volume after fast-forwarding. Going back to home screen, usually corrects volume issue. Not sure if cause is new Apple 4K TV. If LG C1 did not weigh over 40 lbs (current base wouldn't support that weight), i would definitely have bought it.

  • Not real 4k at 120hz

    Like the other reviewers have noted, this TV does not do true 4k at 120hz. it lowers the resolution at 120hz as the processor is not powerful enough. I spend over an hour with Sony customer service and they have confirmed this as well. It's not going to do real 4k at 120hz for use as a monitor for a PC. If you are using it as a TV you wont notice the resolution being dropped at 120hz. But the fact is this monitor does not do what they advertise, You need to step up to the X90j to get the faster processor that is capable of doing real 4K at 120hz. I will note that I received the VRR firmware update on this TV as well and this does not help with a PC unfortunately. I'm sure a Sony bot will reply to this post and ask me to contact them so they can figure out what the issue is. I already know what the issue is as confirmed by your support, the processor is not fast enough in this TV to do true 4K at 120hz :)

Our powerful processor uses advanced algorithms to cut noise and boost detail. With an even clearer 4K(4K: 3,840 x 2,160 pixels) signal, everything you watch is closer to 4K resolution, full of lifelike color and contrast. The X85J supports features specified in HDMI 2.1 like the 4K120, eARC/ARC, ALLM, and VRR. To set the TV HDMI® Signal format to Enhanced format for your source device to recognize the 4K 120Hz capability of the TV. Make sure your device is connected to the HDMI 3 or HDMI 4 input on the TV using the supplied Certified Premium HDMI cable.
      Select Settings → Watching TV → External inputs → HDMI signal format.
      Select the input the device is connected to (either HDMI 3 or HDMI 4), and then change the setting to Enhanced format.
      We apologize for the inconvenience. Your TV may indicate the Software is up to date even if the newer version is not installed. The software updates for automatic download are staggered releases and may not be immediately available.
