    Tv is dead in 3 years... never buy sony

    WILL NOT PROPERLY WORK WITH PC @ 4K 120HZ

    Very disappointed in this TV. Waited half of 2021 for this release. WILL NOT DO proper 4K 120HZ on PC, I had enabled the Enhanced HDMI format, using a verified 8K HDMI cable and still looks blurry. 60hz mode looks perfect but 100hz and 120hz will not display properly. I bought this TV primary to be able to play games at 120hz via my PC with the latest RTX 3000 series graphics card. Updated to latest software update and still same issue.

      We regret to hear that you're having an issue with this TV. We apologize for the inconvenience. The X85J supports the features specified in HDMI 2.1 standard like 4K120, eARC/ARC, ALLM, and VRR(VRR will be available via a future firmware update). The Motion Enhancer of the TV is Motionflow™ XR 960 (Native 120 Hz), Auto mode.

      To support a 4K 120Hz signal from another device, you will need to set the TV HDMI Signal Format to an Enhanced format for your source device to recognize the 4K 120Hz capability of the TV. Make sure your device is connected to the HDMI 3 or HDMI 4 input on the TV using the supplied Certified Premium HDMI cable.

      Select Settings → Watching TV → External inputs → HDMI signal format.

      Select the input the device is connected to (either HDMI 3 or HDMI 4), and then change the setting to Enhanced format.

    These are absolute junk TVs. This is the second one I have had that was totally defective. No more Sony for me. Junk. You might get a week or two out of it before at least one application completely fails.
