This TV has great picture. Colors are very accurate and picture is sharp and bright. Love the picture quality. Not ecstatic about the Google OS but not a big deal. Menus are easy to navigate and setup was fairly easy and straightforward. Not exactly cheap and couple hundred more than I had wanted to pay for a new set, but currently happy that I spent the extra money for this set.

The tv overall is amazing. The viewing angle not so much. But thats probably because I got a 43in instead of a bigger model. The colors after a little adjusting are vivid. Though it seems most of the screen is the same color though part of the right hand side is lighter. I believe this is due to viewing angle. Least that is what I hope. If you can afford it the tv is good, yet if you have the money I'd recommend the x90j more. My bestbuy just didn't have it in the size I wanted.

Purchased a great new t.v. It was delivered in short order and hung comfortably in a corner of a cozy family room. Two very competent young fellows hung it and made needed explanations concerning my working everything about it. It looks beautiful, at a lower level to be easy on everyone’s neck, is easy to operate, and sounds out of this world!

I took a cheaper tv back to get this and hoped it would be better than the cheaper model. I was not disappointed. My ps5, series x and switch look great on it. Smooth as i could have imagined. No lag and surprisingly good sound. 120 hz and 2 hdmi 2.1 ports with 2 other hdmi ports that werent 2.1 for a total of 4 ports.

I bought this tv to use with an Xbox Series X hoping the 43 inch size would be okay. I ended up returning due to being just tok big for competitive gaming. However the tv as a tv was great. Smart features are better than our living room Samsung, MUCH easier to use. Picture quality was fine and sound was actu6 pretty good. If this was a bedroom tv for someone that casually plays games this thing is perfect.

Decided to get this tv due to all the features it has has. I also have a Sony 65in in my living room and love it. This Tv is awesome I use it for my Xbox series x it looks incredible! 120hz 4k is just awesome in smooth gameplay no lag beautiful picture Love this Tv for gaming! Highly recommend it!

Easy to set up the 2 stands, TV sets up fairly easily and looks great without much adjustment of the settings. Hooked up to a PS5 playing far cry 6 is easily the best viewing experience I've had since coming from 1080. Great value for the money if you want to stay at 43' in size and not go larger.

What a superb picture on this Sony 43" X85J TV! The store had this one and several others in this size category on display. I was looking at them all when this one caught my eye. The picture literally popped out at me - beautifully brilliant and crystal clear! All the others, compared to this Sony, looked like they had a film over the screen. No comparison. I know this particular model is more expensive than the other brands of 40-43" models but trust me it's worth every penny if you want that perfect picture! I did get it for $649.99 on sale. I own the 85" Sony X950H and this TV matches it in picture quality to a T. It has many apps built right in which is so convenient. If you are fussy like me and want the best, this TV is the one for you! I just love mine and highly recommend.

Fantastic TV at a great price ($599). Beautiful picture with deep blacks, great contrast, and excellent HDR capability. Superb gaming on my Xbox Series X. Two 2.1 HDMI inputs with 120hz at 4K is perfect. A really exceptional TV. Just the right size for my office.

Walk into a Best Buy showroom and checkout the lineup of 40-43" TVs. The X85J will easily stand out as the most amazing picture in the group. Pros: -4k and 120Hz make it a great screen for gaming. -Contrast is amazing! This is my first time with a VA panel TV. The blacks are so dark you may think the TV turned off during a loading screen. -4 HDMI ports. A lot of TVs these days come with only 2 or 3 HDMI ports. I use all 4 (and still have to use a HDMI switch to get all my electronics connected). -Quick to turn on/off. -Surprisingly good sound. No modern TV is going to have 5-star sound, especially when they no longer use front-facing speakers. Some may still opt to use a separate speaker system, but I find the 2x10w speakers included here work well enough in a bedroom. (Note: try turning off surround sound in settings to see if it improves the audio for you) -Brightness. Max brightness is level 50. I use level 10 for tv/movies and 20-25 for gaming. Cons: -Dark corners. Think vignette effect. All four corners of the screen are like this. It's very noticeable and a critical flaw of this TV. I find it distracting and will check out other TV models to see if other brands fare better. Without this issue, I would have been completely satisfied with this TV. -Cost. This is the most expensive 43" TV I've seen.
