Outstanding Television. Sony's Oled is unrivaled. Deep blacks give a realistic look to the TV almost like 3D.

Wow I never had a TV this large. I love it! The picture is great and so clear. Setup was easy but takes two people to lift into place. My sister loved it too and went and bought one. She loves it as well.

Great tv my local bestbuy had this and a few others to choose from. Very easy setup. So I’ve heard from others in here that it’s only 4k 60hz that is correct but it will do 1080p at 120hz which I can confirm having a pc.

Best TV I’ve ever owned with great resolution and brilliant color. Fits the space I have for it perfectly and ties in with my surround sound well, too.

Perfect Tv! I bought this to play Xbox on and couldn’t be happier. You can’t play 4K at 120Hrz but you can do 1080p at 120Hrz and my eyes can’t tell the difference. Motion is smooth and flicker free.

I love the TV. However the installation was ok. The staff was extremely friendly however they could not use the mount that I choose. At the store make sure that they confirm that the tv mount will work for your wall.

If I could give zero stars I could. I paid almost $1,000 dollars and nothing but problems with this 48" sony OLED TV. Don't buy this tv. I've bought many television's and this is my first problem with a television!

I’m writing this review to help others who find themselves in my position. My old TV finally developed problems so it was time to make a purchase. I don’t like upgrading for no reason but when the time comes I want the latest and greatest and like to feel like I’m getting a good value for my money as well. I went with the LG OLED 48” at first, tried it out for 3 months and decided I was not happy with the picture quality, sound, operating system, and remote. So I went into Best Buy and got amazing help from the person I needed to speak to and he directed me towards the Sony line of OLEDs. I could not be happier with this Sony 48” OLED. It is a true pleasure to own and well worth the money which came out to the same price as the LG because I bought at the right time, the picture quality is amazing since it is calibrated out of the box and the X1 processor destroys the whatever junk they use in the LG. The sound is close to perfect, and once again there is no comparison. I find the Android operating system fast and easy to use. The remote is well designed, feels good in the hand, and a delight to use. I’ve read this TV is on the list to receive the Google TV upgrade so I’m not worried about that. The only things of concern for others would be no HDMI 2.1 ports but I personally do not play video games. And the remote in not backlit, but that doesn’t bother me because the remote buttons are placed very well. If you’re on the fence about which 48” OLED to go with and HDMI 2.1 is not a concern then Sony is the clear choice.

The second I saw Best Buy had these in stock I went to scoop it up and it hasn’t disappointed. The colors, accuracy and motion out of this display are nothing short of amazing. Set it up in the bedroom and I don’t even want to watch movies on my 65inch in the living room. The sound has great depth, clarity and volume bringing the whole package together. Hooked my PS5 up to it and gaming is also top notch. No, it doesn’t have HDMI 2.1 but at this stage I’m not sure it’s needed in my use. Losing resolution for frame rate isn’t worth it in my opinion. Get a proper gaming monitor if that’s your thing. Recap, it’s awesome! I’ll keep this set for years. Netflix, HBO Max and 4K HDR Blu Rays are amazing to watch. If you’re in the fence, get it. If you absolutely need HDMI 2.1 get the LG but that doesn’t come close to the build quality, sound, color accuracy and motion you get from the A9S.

This was the final destination on a tv that lasted several months. I began with the Samsung Q90T 55” because I had the money, we always have had Samsung TVs and we have a bright small apartment. We had to return the TV twice because of the speaker rattling, an issue that others had when I did a little digging. Geek Squad offered me the 2021 model QN90A for the same price so we tried that. I really enjoyed this TV as an all around TV but it just turned out to be too big for our space. I set up the exchange for the 50” QN90A but it turned out to be unavailable. I had some misgivings about the 50” because I know that the previous years model was inferior to the 55” version. Throughout this journey I had been having a slight FOMO with Dolby Vision and had been reading a lot about OLED vs QLED. I was looking at the LG 48” C1 but it was sold out. I went in to my local store and sat down with the guy in the Magnolia store, told him the whole story and he suggested the A9S. We had some difficulties with the TV failing which we believe were due to mishandling during shipping. (The Sony had to be shipped unlike the Samsungs which were delivered and picked up.) When we finally got the a9s up and running we were blown away. While Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max looked great on the QN90A it just looked absolutely incredible on the A9S. We were used to Android TV being Nvidia Shield users for years so we didn’t skip a beat. We still waited to compare the Samsung QN90A 50” to make sure we were making the right decision. Sure enough the 50” QN90A wasn’t even close. The A9S has amazing sound, (the best I have ever heard on a flat screen), and incorporates well with my 2 channel Denon integrated amp. Seems I was missing out because Apple TV+, Disney+, and Netflix, (the A9S has Netflix support built in!) all look amazing. We have been enjoying this TV for several weeks and we still can not believe how good it looks. While I miss how bright the 55” QN90A got during the day during dark scenes, the sheer viewing satisfaction of this TV eliminates any regret. HD upscaling is fantastic and looks almost as good as 4K. Standard definition cable looks great as well. I also appreciate having Tidal on the TV as it was not available on Tizen. I think Android TV is better. We really like the remote control on the Sony much better than the Samsung although it is not backlit which caused some SNAFUs during dark room viewings. With the Samsung I was considering getting a soundbar and an Apple TV 4K. With the Sony I need neither. I want to thank Best Buy for how great they have been during this whole process. The delivery service is fantastic. Managers in the store were phenomenal helping me out with all the issues we encountered. Service over the phone was outstanding when connected to the Home Theatre / Geek Squad department (not the call center in the Philippines). Special shout out to Josh in Magnolia for suggesting the Sony A9S. We are very happy now. This TV is highly recommended if you have a smaller space.

This is a great product overall. The picture quality is fantastic. However, there have been connection issues with other components via the HDMI and HDMI (eARC/ARC) ports. This resulted in my replacing both my older DVD player and stereo receiver with new SONY products that were shown as fully compatible and interactive. However, there are still unresolved issues. Also, the unit I purchased at a Best Buy store has a different input layout and more inputs than the model shown in the owner's manual and on SONY's website. I have contacted SONY about the differences and issues. The reps I have spoken and chatted with had no knowledge of this. I was told it would be looked into but I never heard back.

best tv ever!!! been playing around with the idea of an OLED for a while and super glad I bit the bullet and bought this one.... even my old Wii games play like new on here!!! the picture is amazing, the sound could use a little work... but I bluetooth to a speaker and that solves that problem.... the only thing I find weird about this tv.... it is very heavy and seems to bend at the corners due to width compated to the size of the stand under it....
