Bought near the end of 2022 and one year later this tv is dreadfully slow, sometimes it will go minutes without any remote inputs working and i just have to unplug it for it to come back to life for a little. The input lag is terrible and the experience is terribly optimized. The picture is good and the only reason it gets more than 1-2 stars. Build materials are quite good, the glare can be a problem for lights/windows, and it gets decently bright but doesnt dim very well.

Having never experienced 4k or OLED in my own home environment, this TV is fantastic. I've experienced bigger and better at friends places but never at home. At such a decent price with the, in my opinion, one of the best Smart TV platforms, it's hard to beat. And really, really solid built in speakers. I do have a soundbar thats a bit better but if you don't, the built in are insane for built in speakers.

Best Buy made this purchase so easy. They sent someone out to make sure the TV would fit perfectly. Installed everything ! I love this TV! It has the most amazing picture and sound!

This product is amazing, the TV will give rich blacks and Dolby Vision HDR, true life like images. This TV claims to have good sound but its not so great so I recommend getting a soundbar if you want a more cinematic experience. I really recommend this TV for beginners and if your trying to look for a tv below the 1000$ price point, this tv is truely amazing, Good job Sony!

I'm a filmmaker and extremely picky about visuals. Every time I watch a program on my new Sony A9S I'm just knocked out by it's FANTASTIC picture (I like Sony's Cinema setting best). I feel like I'm watching a true broadcast quality monitor, the type I have sat in front of in top post production suites in my work. The deep inky blacks are a joy to behold. Also the built in sound, while not quite "sound bar" quality, is still pretty darn good for small to medium rooms. It's also a great smart TV with every needed app built in or easily downloaded, so you don't need an outboard streaming stick or box. And it's compatible with Apple Airplay! Way to go Sony and prove to the world you can still make the best products!

Beautiful TV and lives up to the hype. Still outperforms the new QD OLED's in several categories particularly the more compressed signals like on YouTube. Particularly great when purchased on clearance.

i specifically bought this for my PS5. the specs are perfect. HRD 10, refresh rate of 120 htz, 4K. This TV also has so many options to adjust he quality of the picture. Gaming looks great on this TV just make sure you get a proper HDMI cable that will allow you to use the 4k HDR features. The sound the TV outputs is actually very good, the quality of the sound mix is pleasing, i didn't feel like i need a sound bar. The build on this TV is top tier; glass screen, metallic parts. The TV doesn't feel cheap. navigating through the menus is brisk (nothing my old TV where it felt like cheap plastic and the soft ware would chug when navigating through the menus). highly recommend.

Didn't plan to buy this one. Shopped for cheaper tv. Really happy with the quality but the price was reduced by $200 after I. Bought it and best buy wouldn't give an adjustment.

This OLED display has stunning picture quality. Blacks are really black which gives the picture great contrast. The only issue is that all OLED displays cannot get too bright and the fact that the screen is prone to burn-in if you watch shows with persistent banners or logos. The operating system uses Google and is very responsive with the powerful processor in the set. Sony has the best image control of all the brands and it shows in this model. Like all flat screen TVs, the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired, a sound bar is really required, but the Sony sound is a bit better than most sets.

Love this tv. It worth's every penny. I wish I had purchased this before I got a Samsung for my living room, that way I could get one for my living room too , a larger one

There are better tvs and there are certainly better value TVs, but no one can deny this is a fantastic TV. It is the perfect bedroom TV imo. Bedrooms are dark so the oled looks great. but the real star here is the lightning fast and intuitive UI. The TV is a dream to operate. My only beef with the unit is that I had to purchase the backlit remote on my own. My 20yo Sony WEGA came with a backlit remote. My new Sony OLED does not. WTH Sony? You want me to watch your oled in a dark room, but you do not want me to see the remote buttons? Tragic and rude.

These are the features I was looking for in my next TV -OLED -Easy User Interface -Reliability (Not interested in something made in China) -Use with my 10 year old marantz av and sound system I chose Sony because of reliability ratings via consumer reports, reviews and youtube reviews. I am pleasantly surprised with the ease of the user interface and the quality of the remote. Thought the remote would be too big but really is very nice. Sound on this TV without a sound system is very good, with my Marantz is magnificent. Picture quality, viewing experience great and I could not be happier. For me this is the perfect size TV that checks all the boxes. Great quality, great user experience.

I love my Sony Bravia OLED beautiful picture and no issues. I have owned Sony's for years and they always stand the test of time.

One week with this TV so far, took advantage of the $300 price drop it had, my first ever OLED and what an amazing picture quality it has. Sound is also great for a TV and the size for my bedroom is perfect. The only negative I could say about this TV is the fact that it doesn’t have HDMI 2.1 features and that handicaps the TV when gaming is concerned. But everywhere else, you won’t find a better 48” for movies, series, and shows than this one. Gamers should get the CX or the C1 without a doubt though. All in all, the Sony A9S is an amazing TV and I highly recommend it.

Use this set in my bedroom, and it is exceptional. Works wonderfully with HDR content and is plenty bright to fight glare. I regularly use it with a PS5 for gaming, and the picture quality is superb.

Great picture. Contrast is wonderful, easy to see deep dark colors while not too bright for other colors. Sound is great too. Great features and easy to use.

Looks great, but SONY can't seem bothered to keep it's operating system up to date. Won't even run Hulu. Kind of a joke after spending so much money. Can't complain about the image quality. It's terrific.

This TV is a great addition to my collection of Sony OLED TV’s. I have a 65”, a 55” and now the new 48”. The 48” set was needed to fit a specific space requirement and this unit provides all the performance that I have come to expect from Sony products. The set-up was easy, intuitive and quick even for this “boomer.” The picture quality is outstanding and the internet connectivity is great. The price is high, but I’m too old to wait for inevitable reductions. I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this product.
