OLED and HDR on this TV is very noticeable. Display looks much better / clearer compared to non OLED / HDR TVs. The different display modes available by default is useful and avoids movies to look like soap operas. Only downside is that the remote doesn't support IR and Bluetooth at the same time. My external audio system uses IR only. In order to enable IR from the remote, I need to disable Bluetooth on the TV which prevents me to use voice commands.

Sony OLED TVs are incredible! I bought the 48” to fit in a small room that would be challenging to put a larger screen.

Works very well as a television for cable viewing. Have not tried tuning air broadcasts. Sound is surprisingly good, even controlling some aspects of spatial decoding. Heavier than expected, so needed a friend to lift this set out of box, and onto countertop. Short base means nothing can be in front of bottom of screen, where remote sensor is. Android internet interface not ideal, but Netflix menu is better.

Amazing TV. Perfect for a dark room. The contrast is the best I have seen, especially for a smaller TV.

This is an excellent TV for a bedroom/TV room. The size is a better fit than my 2015 Sony TV. The screen size is the same and the wall mount is the same. The OLED is great for sports. TV sound is very good, best I have heard on stock speakers. Add a good sound Bar and you an even better experience. Don’t get me wrong, the Speakers in the TV can more than support this gem.

Sony OLED video can't be beat, even at 48-in. BTW that is a very good size screen for any small (12x12 ft) room and a bit larger.

Amazing picture and sound quality. I researched both the LG and Sony 48 inch before deciding on the sony. I found the Sony had sharper picture and better contrast the blacks were true and the sound emanated from different part of the screen to coincide with where the action was on the screen. The remote is well thought out and the interface is not too complicated. Overall a great buy. i

Great picture. Sound good. Setup should have been easier. Tv did not like the hdmi spliter I was using, a different one worked ok. Don't know what was different between the spliters. We don't stream much, set was a bit evasive on wanting internet for setup. Did have to call tech support for some fine tuning. Sony was good and adjusted remotely over internet.

phenomenal TV despite the lack of HDMI 2.1 and the brightness is a bit medium. I won't go too into depth as this TV is a previous year model so I doubt that many people will see this review but if they still have these in stock at the discounted price, go for it. this makes my previous TV the x900e look weak in comparison and x900e is no slouch.

My first OLED TV since early HD LED backlit type display. Nice blacks with minimal blooming. Color contrast is natural - make sure not to be in demo mode. Minor motion blur 120Hz refresh. Sound using screen vibration is a little on the thin side with rear subwoofer not very present. If serious about sound, recommend a separate sound bar. Choose a high quality brand to your liking. Overall a good product at a good prize.

Excellent picture and entertainment center. Actually, somewhat easy to use, too, though there is quite a bit more I want to learn about it so I can use all the wonderful features. However, what I have been able to access is lovely and this grandma thinks this TV may last her the rest of her life (I am 84). My last TV lasted me 17 years, so I am hopeful. If this one last 17 years, it may outlast me.

Have only owned a few days but everything I expected and more from an OLED. Easy setup. Great picture. Easy navigation and the sound is so good, compared to previous flat screens, that I have yet to use my Bose sound bar. I know 48” is considered a “mini” but it is the perfect size for my condo living room. I researched for a long time and was thrilled when Sony came out with the 48” to compete with LG. My fourth Sony and an upgrade from a Bravia XBR 49X900E (which we thoroughly enjoyed - just wanted OLED). I was on the fence until it went on sale for $500 off and I took the dive. Could not be happier so far.

Absolutely love this TV. The picture quality is outstanding. It was easy to set up and we have not had any problems since we purchased it a couple of months ago. We added a Sonos Soundbar so we have stereo sound for movies. We also connected our Amazon fire cube to it, and run Netflix and Prime Video, Internet and other programs through the firecube to the TV and it works great. No glitches. I highly recommend this TV.

Great picture in both daytime and nighttime. The tv is in a room that has a lot of natural light and it still looks amazing without much glare. The refresh rate is great. Picture quality is amazing. Good contrast with blacks and colors. Smart TV part is great. Very intuitive and fast. Good UI and easy to connect all your streaming accounts.
