Have been pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of the tv. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that a tv with an additional $800+ price tag but has an awesome picture. I have not had any light bleed issue reported in earlier models.

Has a nice picture, especially when used with uncompressed 1080P sources. Smooth image movement and transitions. Includes several Smart TV apps. Only negative is that one of the HDMI ports winds up underneath the wall mounting bracket.

Spent time researching between televisions and this model had some of the best qualities and requirements I was looking for in a new tv. Great picture quality for watching all types of programs (movies, shows, Chromecast, sports).

This is a great TV for a bedroom. Slight criticism in the sound quality, bot overall very pleased.

Outstanding picture. The speakers are very good but it's also easy to hookup to a soundbar or even headphones.. The remote is easy to use and the TV has lots of nice features such as Netflix. You can use component cables and of course HDMI Again, the picture is stunning as I'd expect from Sony.

We previously had a 40 inch Sony. It was ten years old and we thought it was time to replace it. This Sony has a nice bright clear picture. When I first watch it in our home I thought wow what a difference. We have had not problems with it. I would recommend this Sony to my family and friends.

T.V. Has brilliant colors. It's very easy to setup. We have a Samsung, LG, and another Sony of all different sizes and this tv probably has the best color. It's a good sized set to play PS4 and our new Xbox one s games. Very happy with this purchase and our next tv will be a bigger Sony.

This TV has an excellent picture. We mounted it on a wall in a conference room for use with PC presentations. The PCs are connecting using the HDMI ports and resulting Display is crisp and clear -- just beautiful. Couldn't ask for a better solution.

Nowhere near the quality TV that I originally purchased missing tons and tons of features cannot add apps does not have the PlayStation hook up missing HDMI’s. Completely different wall mount that I originally had

Sony has always been the best with displays and its the same with this TV too. But the only issues with this model I felt was it was trying to be PERFECT with the picture. The native apps try to correct the picture to make it look better in turn making it blur, sort of it trying to over correct some frames. Due to this sometimes the screen is frozen for a couple of seconds specifically if you are using native apps like youtube, netflix. But if you attach it to an HDMI source, one of the best pictures you will see. Navigation and list of native apps arent too good. 3 starts just for picture quality on HDMI and sound.

This TV was a good price. I haven’t bought a Sony in years. I will NEVER buy a Vizio again after this TV. Vizio showed no picture after 2 years and after reading, I noticed that’s a common problem with Vizio. This Sony has great sound and picture quality. No complaints.

I bought this as a replacement after my 7 year old 3-D plasma TV died. I am enjoying this much more. Everything looks so much better, and room is a lot cooler since there's no plasma heat burning it up. I can leave it running for days on end and it never gets beyond room temperature.

Bought a Samsung, picture went out after 4 yrs. I replaced that with a 55 in Sony Bravia 4K, great tv. With football season approaching I needed a second TV for my garage and the only thing I looked at was the 48 inch Sony Bravia smart tv. Great picture, sound could be better.

Love the screen size and picture. Also happy with sound bar that we purchased. It hugely enhances sound quality. Don't like the delay of tv when turning on. Sometimes it comes on right away; other times it is longer.

This is our first smart television. We found it pretty easy to set up and easy to use. I love the Netflix button on the remote that makes it so easy to switch back and forth from my cable tv and Netflix programming.

I wish TV manufacturers would put the true refresh rates. This advertised a 240 motion rate but after viewing and doing more digging I found a website that do tests on TVs and that site stated this tv had a 60 refresh rate. The color is great for regular shows that you are watching directly in front of but it is terrible for sports or watching from the side. Also, streaming Netflix and Hulu has its issues. It freezes and pixilates often. I dont have this problem with my older Sony TV. If this is the way that Sony is going, Samsung might be my next choice for TVs. This was supposed to be our main TV but this one will have to used for secondary watching and the kids video games. I am dissappointed in this TV.

I previously had a Vizio that started dying at two years old, and although I thought it had an excellent picture (when it worked), this Sony is much better on action scenes. It is crisp with no blur. Would highly recommend.

I was looking for an inexpensive 40' inch smart tv for a guest room and saw a deal on "out of box" purchases for less. When the box arrived it had been raining and the box was soaked. The UPS man looked at me and I said "I did not think out of the box literally meant the box would be open and wet when it arrived. He said take a photo and keep your receipt. I was the last delivery on his list...It is a miracle but the TV has always worked great! I'm sure based on the past that Best Buy would have made good on the return if the tv did not work properly. So I'm not sure about out of the box purchased now!

Picture great and Sony brand usually stands up - or so I hope! Last tv was out in 3 years so returned to Sony. Sound is hard to adjust The setting to prevent advertisements being louder diminishes the total sound

My last tv was a 40 inch Sony flatscreen that I bought 10 years ago. This new 48 inch Sony meets all of my expectations of a Sony product. The picture and color are outstanding from every viewing angle. Sound quality is good. I would definitely recommend this tv to a friend.
