This t.v is pretty nice. Great picture and sound. Needs a lot more fine tunning on other features. The apps are not very impressive. Also switching between video modes is quite cumbersome. Also the placement of the only 2 hdmi inputs are not user friendly. I can't understand why everyone is reducing the number of hdmi inputs when so many more accessories are requiring only HDMI connections.

My wife and I love this TV, we placed in our bedroom and it is simply outstanding, beautiful picture, it is very light and easy to move. I am going to buy a new TV for my living room and I am going to get this same one. Have a great day.

This is a wonderful television, picture is superb, quality of everything is terrific, but I only have the following beefs with it (otherwise would have been 5 stars): (1) Mine is connected to a roof antenna, and when I select a channel, e.g. channel 2, the TV stupidly tells me that there's no channel there. This is because the subchannels are really at 2.1 and 2.2. Smart TV my a..s! My LG TV, which isn't a Smart TV, knows enough to automatically go to 2.1 when I hit 2 on the remote. (2) It doesn't tell you the time easily, but it knows it for sure since I set it when I first turned it on.

Easy to set up, great picture quality. The Android TV integration is very good. Great to access your Google movies and TV content. The high refresh rate is good compared to other TVs in this size and price range.

Wasn't sure if I needed a TV greater or less than 50 inches. I really liked the picture quality of this tv for the price. Also love that so many apps are included with the tv. If I didn't have so many blue rays and DVDs that I liked watching, I could have forgone the blue ray player. 48" doesn't sound like a big tv these days but it is the right size for my narrow living room. I was comparison shopping this against LG and Samsung and some other brands but preferred the picture quality on this.

Purchased it on sale for Labor Day. Tv has a great picture. The only issue is the sound has to be turned up high to hear it, which seems to be a common theme amongst new tvs. I think tvs are trying to force you to purchase sound bars now.

The picture on this TV is great and I really like being able to watch using the apps or Netflix without having to use another device. The only criticism I would have is that the location of one of the HDMI slots is unusable with the TV mount I purchased. I use an HDMI switch so it isn’t an issue.

Was looking at TV's under $500.00 . Was comparing Samsung and LG smart sets, which only had 60Hz refresh rates. Than found a Sony 48" Backlit screen with 240Hz refresh rate for $479.99 at Best Buy. This TV has the picture quality close to 4K for $100.00 less. Everyone said I would need a sound bar to hear it, wrong the sound is excellent we use settings 23 to 28 of 100 . Saved over $ 300.00 . It is best to look at what you are getting before paying.

I have a 70inch Sony in the living room and needed a tv for the bedroom. Didn't consider Samsung because everyone I've had has died in a year or two. Spent my usual few hours staring at TVs at bestbuy analyzing picture quality, blacks etc.. I was going to get a cheaper tv and didn't initially consider this one based on reviews but as with any TV seeing it in action is nescessary so after seeing it against other competitors with better reviews I chose this one. Blacks are deep with some adjustments, picture quality with 720 is good and excellent with 1080 input . Light weight makes one man wall mounting easy. Low light picture quality is excellent

I bought this smart tv because I wanted a tv that I could connect to Netflix and watch you tube videos. First of all the tv has a nice picture. First time setup was easy too. It takes you through step by step on how to set your wifi up etc... the only reason I gave it 4 stars is the speakers aren't very good compared to the toshiba tv I had. I use a soundbar when watching movies anyways so that's really no big deal. I would recommend this tv to anybody wanting to spend around 500 bucks for a smart tv.

Aside from the screwy mounting system that needs to be re-engineered which limits the types of mounts that can be used, I was able to mount it effectively with no trouble by getting the right mount ($20). Picture is very good and certainly worth the very cheap price.

Impressed with the picture. Not impressed with the app on the tv. Especially for Netflix which seems to be a software problem. All in all tv is good but froze twice in first month and needed a reboot.

The picture is crystal clear. Very satisfied with the TV. However, the set-up and lack of customer service afterwards left a lot to be desired. The set-up was left unfinished with the comment " get this other cable and you can connect it easily yourself". I could not. When I asked for help from the Geek squad and store management I was refused because I had initialed a form for the installers "as complete". The boyfriend of our granddaughter, a former cable company employee, made the connection for us in about ten minutes! TV great, but customer service was non-existent.

    Not-so-smart TV

After being convinced by the salesman that this would be a better television than the one I went in the store to buy (better picture quality, better smart TV interface, more reliable service), I took this home and set it up as part of my home entertainment system. The good parts: excellent picture quality, extremely minimal product design. The bad parts: the smart TV component is terrible. The interface is clunky and unattractive. The apps available are limited. Be aware that HBO, SHO and many other popular streaming apps are only available through an Amazon subscription or not available at all. I had hoped to be able to eliminate my Roku player from the signal chain to simplify viewing. However, after a frustrating week of trying to use the TV's built-in streaming apps, I gave up and reconnected my reliable Roku player. Had I known of the television's limited capabilities, I would have gone with a cheaper (non-smart TV) model.
