I bought this TV so I could watch football games and entice my sons to watch with me. Picture is fabulous. I was able to set it up myself as the directions are user friendly! I highly recommend this product. The sound is fine, but I purchased a sound bar just to enhance it, and I am glad I did.

The Sony - 49 Class (48.5 Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range - is not your Dad's old TV. The features are so advanced, it's mind blowing. The picture clarity, color saturation is far superior to my 5 year old smart TV. The unit has features far above the rest.

I wasn't sure what size television to get for my family room. I had a 37 inch, but wanted something newer and larger. This TV was easy to set up right out of the box. The picture is great and the colors are so realistic. Although I've only had it for a month, I am very happy with this purchase.

Saw this TV on Rtings.com. Said is was the best midrange TV for gaming and movies at 4K. Got an open box for $550 and it was a steal considering how much it is now. Gaming in 4K on the PS4 PRO is great along with the HDR. Not as good as the much higher priced TV's out there, but pretty close.

I had space limitations, thus, was looking for largest screen that would work in space. Found this and after reading other reviews, I was elated. Easy set up, great picture and very easy to use. Having had a plasma before, there is no comparison. This is much better and it's a Sony!!

Great picture and easy setup. Remote needs an upgrade as I have to use a universal remote.

Don't get me wrong, this tv is pretty amazing. The picture quality is outstanding and it has lots of nice features but the one thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that the built in Bluetooth will not pick up my Beats wireless headphones. That's a real bummer. I could care less that you can control it with a PS4 controller, I'd rather have a useful feature like use of my Bluetooth headphones.

I bought this open box for a spare room and let me say it is amazing. Picture quality and performance is almost identical to my 930D. If you need a tv for a guest bedroom or small den save your money and buy the 800D series. For sports I would get the 850D with the faster refresh.

After much research, this television provided all that we were looking for in a smaller size. In addition, the stand fits nicely in our mantle so we avoided needing to purchase a new stand or relocate the tv as other brands would have required. Took back a Samsung for that reason.

So i was skeptical about sony as i did a lot of web searching for this particular model's reviews and between it's samsung competition. I went with the samsung first, and i was disappointed with the interface and picture quality and their "motionflow 120" which is really just 60hx refresh rate. I returned the samsung and got the SONY 49' 4k. It's got an amazing picture and the apps work very well even utilizing the voice function it picks up what you want to search just like siri or android. It does use AndroidTv so it's even better if you have an android phone. I plugged in my PS3 to it and it was like watching blu ray on LED tv when it first came out, everything is more detailed and I haven't seen any jitters or screen tearing while playing a game with lots of action. I have yet to plug my ps4 into it and see how much the difference is. But I do not regret my purchase at all. Glad I took the risk on the sony despite the reviews compared to samsung.

After months of reading reviews and checking prices at various sites I had my selection made and headed to Best Buy.I quickly found a geek squad member and asked about the stock position of my chosen tv(Vizio M series),sadly not currently in stock was his reply.Well after several minutes of discussing ordering and arrival dates,I decided to just look around. First thing that caught my eye was the Sony x800d.Wow,is sadly way short of how good this tv is.The 800 has the same image quality as Sony's much more expensive top of the line sets costing hundreds of dollars more.The tv is only 49 inches,but if you can live with this size,you will not find a better set period.I bought Sony years ago,and fell in love with the picture quality back then.Save yourself some time and buy it,you won't be disappointed. One last side note,take your time to adjust this set to your likes.The set has many settings,and it did take some time to really dial it in.

Love this tv. Great picture quality, super features. Refresh rate is terrific especially for sports. We love this tv - Size is Great for our family room. I would recommend this to anyone wanting an entry level tv not wanting something that overwhelms a room! A great TV !!!

Very happy with the purchase. it was easy to assemble and configure. The picture is great and I love the streaming apps that lets me avoid renting an additional cable box. The built in Cromecast works great.

The picture is amazing and that's what I bought it for. The performance of the apps and smart features are so so. I also don't really like the remote as the buttons are sort of placed too close together. But wow is the picture pretty! : ) So it's all good .

This purchase was for an additional TV for a bedroom. I wasn't sure if I was going to get a Sony or a Samsung. Based upon the reviews and the sales person's help I decided on the Sony. Everything about this TV says Sony. Ease-of-use, great picture, decent apps.

I got a great deal on it. It looks amazing and works well with the new Xbox

Considered LG, Sony, Samsung, Sharp, Toshiba 4K models, 48" to 50". This model offered the most features for the best price. Also considered a lower priced Sony 49" but by the time I added options it would have cost as much and not offered as many features.

This television is excellent value for money. We researched which television we could have with in store staff and had about three models to choose from. We wanted a smart one and this, plus the quality of the picture decided us. Recommended purchase.

I was torn between buying 49" Samsung and 49" Sony. There was just something about the Samsung that I didn't like. Images looked almost fake. Decision made to go with Sony. I couldn't be happier. I love this selection. I would definitely recommend this to friends and continue to buy Sonys in the future. Pictures are crisp and clear. Watched opening day NFL and enjoyed it even more because of my purchase!
