The picture quality is excellent with our DVD player and just standard antenna. We were able to easily connect to a new soundbar. The remote is easy to use. We'll be camping next weekend and can't wait to see how it works with Wi-Fi and/or cable. (Our home Wi-Fi doesn't reach out to where our camper is parked). When shopping we were going to go with another brand and after speaking with the Sony rep at the store we decided to spend a little more and get a Sony. We are very pleased with our purchase.

It’s so good that I have yet to mess with the setting since it has arrived. Instead I have been watching in amazement at its crispness and illustrated beautiful colors. I had a Hissense tv which I owned for only three years before it stop working. I decided not to be cheap and buy the Sony because they are known to be the best quality and viewing tv in the industry

Longing for the days of dumb TVs

The tuner works better than most TVs we’ve had over the years. The “smart TV” Google OS hangs about twice a month either updating itself or trying to tie its shoelaces. I can’t tell because it just stops responding. I have to unplug it to get it to come to its senses and work for a while. I tried resetting to factory and blowing off the network connection and it worked for a bit but it’s now upset it doesn’t have the network connection. It takes 10 minutes to turn on and get to TV channels because it wants me to set up the network and add my Google account settings. Don’t know if other smart TV OS’s have this problem but this is frustrating. Still need a Roku for streaming to work well so smart doesn’t do much for me.

Also, the "wide mode" settings are limited. I can't get the picture on DVDs I recorded to fill the screen!

Google Play = NO Tennis Channel Plus App

HOWEVER- Apparently Google Play TV’s DO NOT have the ability to download the Tennis Channel Plus app! Who new :( It’s VERY frustrating (with the increasing need for streaming) that “smart” TV’s are divided! Spent another $100 on a “stick” so I can get all the apps I use! Then another $250 on a soundbar.. eyeroll! Picture is great for this level TV. Soundbar was easy to pair. Other than the Google play platform, I am happy with the purchase.

Great Sony Bravia purchase

I got the 50” Sony Bravia and its picture is just as great as my 65” Sony Bravia. The sound is good. It doesn’t really need a Sound bar since the built in speakers have good quality and not tinny sounding as other tvs. The salesman was polite and very helpful.

Bright color, easy set up (I had replaced an old Sony), prompt delivery service, questions answered with suggestions from my Best Buy salesperson and the price was right.
