I recently bought vizio tizen tv and it freezes kickes me out of movies to home screen I cannot click any buttons on Home Screen can only use the Vudu Disney plus buttons that’s it I’ve done resets etc so I said screw it bought this song tv and I’m happy I did excellent picture fast etc. Sony never disappoints. NOW gamers do not buy the input lag is terrible for gaming and unsmooth for those wanting to know. Look for TVs with low input lag for that lowest I’ve seen is 13 on a garbage brand TV my computer monitor is 1ms response rate. But for anything besides that 5 stars all day!!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.From the moment the television is turned on, a very marked difference is noticed, the image delivered by the panel is very clear and sharp, the configuration is quick and easy; And as for the configuration of external equipment such as video game consoles or the channel box ... it could be said automatically, once you connect the cables to the different high definition terminals, you just have to follow the steps indicated. the television and voila, you don't need to have so many remote controls, the television and its control do it all .. It's great. And now if the most important thing that was my greatest curiosity ... The Sound ... well let me tell you that it is incredible, you configure it and the TV does the rest ... INCREDIBLE. I compare it to another Sony that I bought a few years ago and the difference is remarkable. It is a good investment where you can see the great image upgrade, digital platform and its amazing sound.

It doesn't require any sound augmentation such as a sound bar - a least not in my house. Setup was easy - attach a signal input (i use off-air), plug it in and turn it on. Setup is easy - just scroll through the prompts. I do wish there was a bit more documentation regarding the remote control functions and some stuff on the features of the tv itself, but just learning the process by doing is super easy. I'm really glad I got this set. I would have liked something bigger, but I just do not have the space either on the wall or in the entertainment nook in the house. In the long run, it doesn't make a difference to me. Plus, the price was right - one of Best Buy's specials. Overall, a really nice TV. You shouldn't have any issues.

Not after a long time, like, a minute after putting on a channel. Also, can be a bit of a pain getting off the main screen to the input you want to use. We use strickly for cable, but it defaults to a screen that wants you to choose an app. Just not great for us.

Really nice TV with tons of apps including HBO Max

The picture is crisp, the sound is sharp and features tons of options especially with apps. I counted 4 HDMI inputs in the back which is a lot. You can't go wrong with a Sony! They make the best TVs. When I turn on my PS5 it switches the input to the PS5's so I don't have to! That's pretty cool. You will need a gmail account for the TV or it's recommended I believe. I have a Sony PS5, Sony Blu-Ray player and this Sony TV. It's nice because they all sync together. This is my 3rd Sony TV after buying one in Thailand, and the latter 2 here. I will always stick with Sony.

In the meantime we got my wife a 32" Smart LG TV. I liked what she could do and get with her TV. Impatiently I waited and then this Sony 50" became available on sale. I jumped at the chance. Brought it home and set it up. Then was disappointed. I couldn't do the same things my wife could. Was gonna take it back. Then I started looking at it and experimenting AND reading the info. Found I had to get an optical cable to hook up my Vizio sound bar. Got it hooked up and working. Thought I was gonna get rid of the multiple controllers with the Roku gone BUT not the case. Still had to have the Tivo controller. At any rate we are happy with this TV and would recomend it.

Please note that when you connect only with an optical audio cable, functions which require an HDMI connection, such as power interlock and volume control with the TV remote, won't be possible. Also, connecting the cable box via HDMI cable, and enabling the Control for HDMI on your cable box and Bravia sync function on the TV provides control functions between different A/V devices. After (easy!) set up and much experimentation - I can say the picture quality and features are great. Never thought I'd say it, but the Google Play and internet connectivity features are a huge plus. I still need to darken the room for best playback, but that isn't a big deal after dark. Best viewing is dead center- which wasn't necessary with my Plasma set. Still, for all the ease and up to the minute apps- this is a very good buy. BTW- Thanks Sony for not spacing the legs too far apart- I can just place the set on top of my very expensive, but narrow Bello-Getti rack system.

All had good pictures, but the Sony has the widest viewing angle - important to me. Very easy to get up and running. Lots of options to adjust almost anything you can imagine. It tells me if I’m connected to my WIFI, if it needs an update, and you can even manage your account through your TV in Settings.

Sound is not bad for the size and price of TV. Bigger room I would invest in soundbar. Picture is good from straight on. From sides, it is not the best. For the price and quality, was better than LG and Samsung at same price point.

The first time was a week earlier.. This is a great TV I've ever owned. The eArc functionality allows me to control both the TV and a new Vizio M21d-H8r sound bar (power, volume, mute) with the Sony TV remote. The Google TV/Android TV operating system essentially eliminates the need for either a Fire TV Stick, Roku, Chromecast, which is built in, or any other streaming device. I'm a cable cutter and stream all of my content. The X1 processor is extremely fast and the TV comes on instantly with no lag. I highly recommend this TV.
