Really impressed by the speed of the processor when I was jumping between streaming apps. It’s much faster than using Amazon fire sticks. My only complaint would be having to use google play account. I’m an Apple user and was forced to create an account in order to get the streaming apps I wanted to use. And it takes a bit of time during that process.

The reason for the replacement was the LG Ultra HD 4K did not have HDR, HDR 2, nor HDCP 2.2. The Sony 50" X80J was an excellent replacement. Works extremely well with my PS4 Pro and PS5; and just up until I move my BOX One to another station, did extremely well there. HDR & HDR-2 perform superbly. HDCP2.2 enabled allows the use of the latest features of new technology. The LG, did not have these features, even though it claimed to "next gen". Very pleased with this model, so far.

Speakers are fine, but they are small and not facing you so you get what you expect from a panel tv speakers. I only wish there was a way to use the TV without a Google account for guests.

The picture is phenomenal and the sound is so good that I don’t even bother turning on my surround sound system most of the time. I like the dedicated buttons for Netflix and Disney+. We use a Tablo DVR to record OTA TV and the app was easy to install. I don’t even use the external Apple TV or other streaming device anymore. Only downside is that with a handful of apps installed, I’m reaching the limit of internal memory. Apparently, you can move some apps to a USB stick, but I haven’t gotten to the point of having to do this yet. All in all, a nice TV with great video and good sound.

I have a Bravia which is the bomb and wanted something close without breaking the bank for a bed room TV. I had just purchased a new Samsung but didn’t like the color as well so put it in the spare bed room, and got the new Sony for the master. Great picture, works as expected. Not quite a Bravia but close and didn’t cost as much either!
