Picture is awesome. Menus and remote are easy to use. Blah blah blah. Got a dang pixel stuck on green within a week. Was told there’s nothing you can do about it unless there’s at least five of them.

This TV is more than enough for what I need! 2.1 HDMI ports and nice color. Even though this TV Doesn’t have the local dimming feature, don’t be fooled. This TV has a great quality of the picture just as a Sony TV should. Granted some people may not like the small reflection on the screen but I think it’s all about how you place the TV in the room. This TV is bright and has a lot of inner functions. My XBOX Series X and PlayStation 5 look fantastic in 120hz. This TV is somewhat pricey but I think overall it will do its justice.

Puchased this tv for a small den that we use for Xbox gaming, occasional sports watching and movie/tv streaming. It performs incredibly well and the picture is amazing. I have owned nothing but Samsung TV's for the last 15 years, most recently buying the QLED versions (Q90s to be exact). While those are terrific TV's as well, there was a great sale on this TV and the reviews were very good so I went for it. I am not disappointed. The images from the Xbox Series X come across amazing and the movies stream in incredible 4k. I would also say the setup was very easy and the menu you is pretty intuitive. The only drawback is that you'd have to Create a google account in order to set up a Sony TV. Samsun TV's require you to setup a Samsung account but you can utilize whatever email you already have.

It’s been a great tv for gaming, supports everything you need for next gen systems and offers VRR. Overall for the price it’s a great tv without breaking the bank for something high end that also supports hdmi 2.1

Very pleased with this TV. In my opinion it's the best value for the features.. 120 Hz..Smart TV and the colors are outstanding. The x80 is a little less but it's 60 Hz so it's worth the extra cash.

My unit had a dead pixel and I exchanged it for a different TV. Don’t let this dissuade you as it can happen to any brand or model of TV. I’m reviewing as if it never had a dead pixel. Pros: -easy set up, I find Google TV to be pretty easy to use - I like the size of the remote - quality was fantastic, 4K HDR10 content looked amazing - 120hz worked well from my PC, was able to play Horizon 5 at 4K/120hz via HDMI 2.1 -super low input latency, works great as a monitor Cons: -TV legs felt a little wobbly -Dolby Vision is great, but during playback of none DV content via Apple TV 4K, the screen would flicker green, it’s annoying having to switch back and forth. - doesn’t come with VRR (FreeSync) out of the box, but it’s now (Dec ‘21) available via a software update If I’d not gotten a unit with a bad panel, I would’ve kept the TV, however there was a Samsung 55 (I had the Sony 50) for $100 more and the store was out of the same Sony.

Ive had this tv for 2 years now and still works great for my ps5 and everything. Very soild and very great tv. 120 fps at 4k for my ps5 is a dream. Thank you sony.

I bought this TV for my PS5 and XBX. The 120hz refresh rate is a nice feature and the picture is amazing.

I recently got a Sony Bravia x800h 43 last year and I was blown away of how beautiful the picture quality was, from watching tv to playing Xbox the quality was superb. Then recently finding my self wanting a 50inch tv and came across the Sony x85j 50”, and seen it offered 120hz refresh rate and was instantly drawn. Since I have a series x Xbox it’s able to play at 120fps along with the ability of variable refresh rate for the tv. If your an advid gamer and enjoy binge watching Netflix, peacock, HBOmax, Disney+ and etc. you’ll appreciate this tv. Also the super easy to use interface makes navigating the operating system (googletv) a breeze. The remote is a magic remote so if you have a cable box you can control the cable using the Sony remote!, no need to use that horrible comcast remote. Also watching movies is breath taking every time, with crisp images, motions and colors it draws the eye. For the price point on sale it’s $749(reg.$849) and there are other products in the same or lesser price range there’s a reason Sonys are more expensive they don’t sacrifice in there products, it’s one of those you get what you pay for type of deal and worth every penny. So go ahead and compare other brands but in the end you won’t regret your purchase with your new Sony x85j

Great budget TV I use it for my Xbox Series X. Picture quality is very good especially with 120hz option turned on. Only downside is you cant use 120hz with Dolby Vision turned on but it does support 60fps with Dolby Vision turned on. Other than its a great TV has some great darker colors and very vibrant. Definitely would recommend.

The setup and picture quality are great! The sound is also really good and you can get decent sound without a soundbar. If you're purchasing this as a smart TV that's where some issues start. I really like the design of the Google OS. It looks good and is simple to use, but there are some issues, and yes all apps were up to date and the TV was also up to date. The Apple TV app won't allow you to sign in. There is a work around though. You have to cast a TV show or movie from your phone to the TV and then it will allow you to sign in. Another app would have CC enabled with no way to shut it off. Checked both app settings and TV settings but couldn't get it to shut the CC off. The biggest, and apparently a known issue with Sony TVs, is it will drop the internet connection. It drop the WiFi connection and it also dropped the internet connection with a ethernet cable connected. Every time it loses and then regains the connection a message will pop up on the screen. For us it was happening about every half hour. Pretty annoying. A quick internet search showed this is a known issue with no current fix. I wanted to love this TV but can't because it shouldn't have internet/WiFi issues, especially at this price point. The good news is that you can set this up and bypass the "Smart" capability but you shouldn't have to. Very disappointed with Sony.

Beautiful visually and amazing audio. Default for audio is great but once you adjust the settings it’s even better! Personal habit of keeping a certain LoFi channel on YouTube on the screen and have had no issues with picture burning or decrease in quality.
