    Had a large shadow on left side. Exchanged for different one of same model. That one was too intense green. Took it back anh got different brand. 2 strikes. Didnt need a third from sony

    The x85j doesn't have Dolby vision, or run at 120hz like it said it was supposed to.

      Hi bondwago85, We're sorry to hear you're having issues with the 120 Hz feature of this TV. To ensure that your source device recognizes the 4K 120Hz capability of the X85J TV, you will need to set the HDMI Signal format to Enhanced format by following the steps below:

      Press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, then select [Settings] — [Channels & Inputs] — [External inputs] — [HDMI signal format] — [Enhanced format].

      Also, when you watch 4K picture at 120 Hz, use a Premium High-Speed HDMI™ Cable(s) that supports speeds of 48 Gbps. Refer to the cable specifications to find out whether a cable supports 48 Gbps.

      Note: 120 Hz is supported by HDMI IN 3 and IN 4.

      It also support Dolby Vision. However, you cannot enable Dolby Vision together with 120 hz feature at the same time.

    Stopped working after 18 months

    I bought a very similar Sony television at Best Buy in April 2020. It stopped working this week; 18 months after purchase and 6 months past the warranty. 799 dollars and lasted 18 months. I called Sony and they said they could not fix it via troubleshooting and I have to find my own repair company to see if I can get it fixed. I'll never buy Sony again.
