It was convenient to be able to go into the store and purchase the card. Due to all the hacking of credit cards on file, I didn't feel safe entering my cc info into the playstation system.

If for whatever reason you don't want to register an active Visa to your PSN account, this is a quick solution. Also makes a great gift to any PlayStation gamer in your life!

It's nice that we get free shopping for these cards, but it would be awesome if Best Buy could send a code in an email, save shipping expenses and provide satisfactory, quick service.

This card is awesome to redeem for if you have any rewards certificates available at Best Buy. Great way to cash in on your rewards by getting DLC or downloadable games on the PS Network.

My account doesn't accept credit cards anymore so it's great to have the option of a gift card to get the money into my psn account

Store credit cards are what they are. I've used cards to fund my Sony wallet since their big data breach a few years ago, and the $50 card is the most convenient way to do that.
