I haven't used it a lot yet, but so far, I've had nice, sharp portraits using this lens on my a6000. It's a good choice for the move to a prime lens from the zoom lenses that come with the a6000 and it won't break the bank.

As many other reviews, I also give the 5 stars. I am a beginner, but can tell the difference with this lens versus the stock lens that came with my a6000. The quality is superb, and I love bokeh effect when the aperture is on a low value .

Got this for the a6000. Excellent bokha and clarity. The other reviews are correct. This 50 mm is great for portraits, but don't expect it to have the range of the 35 mm when taking "street" portraits.

These are my favorite lens! I’ve been taking photos for 1 and half now and I always go to my 50mm for portraits. Great lens for beginners if you are looking for something with depth.

Did research on one of the best portrait lens for my a6000 camera and this lens had one of the better reviews for its size and purpose. The quality is great and made solely for closer pictures. Worth loooking into!

I got this lens with then Sony a6000 and I must say that it's well worth the money. The quality is astounding and the bokeh is so round! I highly recommend this for portraits

The kit lens that came with the alpha 5100, a zoom lens, took great pictures but distorted straight lines. This lens does a much better job. The only drawbacks are that it's fairly large in comparison, and you have to move around if you want a particular frame composition. You can always crop afterward I suppose. If you want square that's the price you pay.

This is an amazing lens all you got to do is point and shoot. the background blurs awesome. The only complain is I can't focus with my a6000 and also for videos i don't know how to set it up. Overall is a great lens

Purchased along with the Sony A6000 and very happy. The 1.8 aperture allows for low light capabilities. Also great for portraits to give a shallow depth of field with great bokeh!

I've been a fan of using the 50mm lens for several years now and I'm not disappointed in using this one. Crispness, sharpness is well presented. Perfect match for the Sony A7, fast focusing is a plus, the light weight of it as well.

This lens is phenomenal for portraiture, and the OSS (stabilization) helps to remove quite a bit of hand shake in both photo and video scenarios. If I were shooting with two cameras, I would buy a second one.

Pretty much my go to glass. You can't be right up on your subject or far away but doesn't really matter so much. This lens will do most of the middle work. Will create awesome bokkah. This will be your most used glass.

This Sony 50 mm F1.8 is a perfect portrait lens. I use this on my Sony a 6000 camera and it works great. This is not the FE lens but the other one-more expensive. Nice and clear excellent pictures.

Everything i thought it would be. Beautiful shots! Works great with my EV-10 and my A7iii.

This lens is a good quality 50mm lens with very good optics. Colors and contrast are very good. My only wish is that it was slightly more compact. The quality is better than the short zoom lens that comes as part of Sony a6000 kits, but the compactness of that lens is better. All in all, a good fix focal length lens in the Sony e mount line. It delivers on image quality.

Sony is one of my favourite tech companies based on their customer service and quality of products. This product has been no different for me, it's a great lens and has only enhanced my shots.

Bought this lens and seriously do not want to change my lens anymore, amazing background blur and crazy sharp pictures. My girlfriend loves the shots I get with it.

Have fallen in love with this lens! Great depth of field and versatility. Would highly recommend this lens for beginner or veteran photographers.

Inexpensive 50mm lens. Good value for the quality but nothing special. If you need a 50mm lens this is a great lens.

I love my camera and lens. It allows me to create my own settings, make mistakes and learn from them without a hassle.
