Customers are saying

Customers highly value the exceptional image quality and smooth bokeh of the 50mm f/1.8 Optical Lens, frequently praising its performance in low light and affordability. Many also appreciate its ease of use and ability to create stunning portraits with a shallow depth of field. While some users noted that the autofocus could be improved and that chromatic aberration is sometimes present, the overall positive feedback highlights its strengths as a versatile and high-performing lens.

Good prime lens to have in your bag. f/1.8 is good for subject separation.

The lens create sharp image with sony a6300. With 1.8 aperture maybe tricky to focus, but 3.2 aperture guarantee excellent portraits.

This lens is amazingly sharp. The Sonnar T* FE 55mm F1.8 may be a little sharper but it is bigger, heavier, lacks OSS and costs nearly 4 times as much.

Excellent prime lens for the price. Lens is crisp and adds a nice background blur. I also like to use the 50mm prime for portaiture photography.

I just recently pick up Photography. After researching, I chose the Sony OSS 50mm lens to learn to take portrait photos. With the 1.8, I'm getting a clear image with good background blur. Still learning the ways, but this lens is definitely a must for starters.
