Customers highly value the exceptional image quality and smooth bokeh of the 50mm f/1.8 Optical Lens, frequently praising its performance in low light and affordability. Many also appreciate its ease of use and ability to create stunning portraits with a shallow depth of field. While some users noted that the autofocus could be improved and that chromatic aberration is sometimes present, the overall positive feedback highlights its strengths as a versatile and high-performing lens.

Provides sharp images and easy to use. I only wish it had a zoom option so that I am not the zoom option but not a deal breaker. Love the f-stop. Good for portrait photos.

First prime lens for my Sony e-mount. A bit of a telephoto with my sensor size, so not great for tight spaces, but makes a great portrait lens. Nice smooth bokeh for $.

Very nice camera lens for the Sony A6000. I compared with the A7II but that was going to cost me around $3,500 with the kit lens and then adding the 35mm 1.4 lens I wanted. I was able to get this camera on sale with the addition 50mm lens for under a grand. This lens is great and takes very nice and vibrant colored pictures.

As a beginner in photography, I had the opportunity to use a friend's high-end lenses, which cost about four times as much as this one. Despite that, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the quality of this lens and would recommend it to others starting out

The sony 50mm f1/8 is the perfect portrait lens at a truly amazing price. Personally, I have tried similar lens from sigma, however I found the sony to be much sharper due to OSS (optical steady shot). Overall, this is a great lens for beginners and I find myself always taking it with me.

Lens is quite amazing! Really crisp and clean images on A6000, really takes advantage of the 24 MP and large sensor. Bokeh is very nice. OSS keeps things from blurring out in lower light. Buy it, you won't regret it if you like 50mm primes. Good build quality and pretty light.

I decided to skip the kit lens and just buy the 50 mm. So this is the only lens I have for my A6000. I love it so far, it takes great quality photos, they all look sharp, where the subject really pops. It does have a slow auto focus, but it's not a big deal for me. I still have to get used to the fact that this is not a zoom lens! So fyi, you have to move around to try to get the best shot, but I definitely recommend it.
