I finally upgraded my old Cannon SLR to the Sony a6000 and I love it! my camera came with the 16-50mm lens and I purchased the 55-210mm for a zoom lens. It is literally half the size and weight of the 75-300mm lens on my old camera, but has a better range. For an amateur, I think the 16-50mm and 55-210mm are all you will ever need.

I bought this lense in hopes for more zoom power- this lense is great for things far away, but not good for things within even 10-15 feet. It will be too close up and things will get cut off. I used this while visiting Glacier, it did not disappoint for that purpose.

This is a pretty good lens for what you pay for it. It gives good clean pictures as long as the lighting is good and you're not as concerned with the bokeh. It is a very good lens if you're just starting out and gives a great range of shooting. For a telephoto lens it is light and compact making it fantastic for travel.

When I received the lens, it was so beautifully crafted. The color, the texture and and feel of it was as if you have had a lens in your hands before this one. (Which I haven't) Good quality picture, except if you in a moving car then the pictures come blurry.

bought this to augment my Sony Nex's standard lens. Great for zoom shots. Took it to the Grand Canyon and grabbed some great shots. Not too heavy, so easy to carry along if you find yourself switching lenses.

Got this for taking basketball pictures for friends.

Great lens. Takes beautiful close-up pictures. I use it with my Sony alpha 6000. It's not too heavy for the camera. I am not a professional photographer just like taking pictures mostly of my 3 year old and it does the job for me.

Great quality lens for the money that didn't break the bank.

The 55-210mm Zoom Lens adds greatly to the already exceptional capabilities of my NEX-7 camera. Besides, it is not too expensive as compared with its great value. The only thing which is not so good about the lens is that it does not well match NEX-7 camera in terms of color. It will be great if the lens will come in more colors in the future.

It's great for what it is. As the only zoom available, it takes clear pictures and is easy to use. Using either manual or auto focus, it takes nice crisp pictures. Does great at the hockey rink with action shots and poor lighting. I wish they would come out with a bigger zoom lens that would work with further distances.

Love this as it is paired up with Sony NEX5. A friend, professional photographer, recently used it and loved it! She noted how lightweight it was. Was impressed with the max zoom on landscape. Love replayed the photos on my big screen and hearing the ooos and ahhs as we zoom in on the pictures.

This lens was acquired to see if it would give me more opportunities to use my Sony 4/3's 5000a camera. The answer is unequivocally yes! For working in large areas where 5-6 steps are not possible, the 55-210 zoom really does the trick without sacrificing too much in the way of aperture in medium lit situations. it's fast, comfortable in my large hands (less in a woman's I imagine) and the image stabilization seems to work just fine. Sorry that I waited to buy this!

Great lens for getting pictures of wildlife in their natural habitat or a distant portrait shot.

Really happy with this purchase - I typically shoot with my 20-70 shooting predominantly portraiture and street at with my Sony R7II, but this lens had allowed more flexibility for long range shots. No issues with any auto settings as far as sharpness goes, but have found it is optimal at the center of it's range. Doesn't have any metering or sharpness issues while using my pro Gobe filters either. Definitely a great value for it's pricepoint - additional range in a lightweight and compact form.

This was included with the a6000 bundle, and along with the 16-50mm lens you have a great focal range to work with. Image quality was great, and the zoom range is perfect with this.

Got this lens to go with my 18-55 kit lens. This lens is in keeping with the Sony system of small and light. I am close to 80 years old, and the Canon SLR was getting way too heavy & bulky.

If you are looking to shoot sports or nature this is the lens for you. Great long range shooting for kids sports games or animals from a distance. Very sharp and clear images.

My son plays football and it capture good shoots on the field and in the stands. As well as videos.

This lens is what you will need to shoot at distance. This baby really let's you pull in objects from afar and is easy to use.
