Awesome lens I’ve got many compliments when using this

My first use of this new lens was taking some indoor photos at a college graduation ceremony. While I appreciate the compact sized lens on a compact sized camera, getting focus on distant objects/people isn't so easy compared to a full size camera with a standard grip. My previous camera, a Nikon D800 with a Tamron 70-200 lens could lock focus at least 4x faster - but it's a totally unfair comparison. In time, I'll improve my technique, but I wish I had tried Sony's 18-200 lens. If it is noticeably faster to auto-focus, I think it would be worth the extra cost. If it's not any better, than the 55-210 is definitely the way to go. The shots that turned out, turned out great!

Bought to pair with my A6400, and it is fantastic! It's a great addition for any beginner photographer.

native e-mount basically has 2 options for this zoom range with image stabilization, this one and the $1300 sport lens. Can't really go wrong with this if you know your camera settings and your subject lighting.

I looked at buying the Sony lens on Amazon and EBAY . Some lenses on these sites were very inexpensive and came with filters and other accessories , but I did not buy them based upon reviews but also questioned the quality, origin of the lens itself, and warranty. As such I purchased from best buy and they matched the Amazon prime price that was listed. Over all the lens works solid and zooms in great with quality photos. I would have liked to have the fully automatic lens with zoom and stabilization but I'm just getting into photography. Once I get more serious then I'll go and spend $1000 + for different lenses. I would highly recommend this lens and the quality.

I've gotten some great shots with this lens, and for the price, you can't beat it. The only downside is the aperture is a bit small, so it struggles in low light shots without a tripod. I've brought this on trips to Europe and have had a lot of fun with this lens.

Sure, it's a big lens, but it's nowhere near the size of my old DSLR zoom. It really is compact for its power, and I used it a lot. It fit into my jacket pocket, so I got it into the rock concerts I recently attended without an issue, and got great shots. I could take it to the parks in London, and the zoo, without a bulky camera bag. It's easy to mount quickly, which is important to me. The only thing is I wish the end cap would stay on easier. You only have to twist it a few degrees, which means it comes off easily in my jacket pocket.

saved a lot by buying open box it was latterly like new with the original box the lens has very clear glass and barely any fish eye effect good for getting stills from a distance from my a5100 the only con is it's a manual zoom lens thanks again best buy for the great customer service and even better deals

Love my lense! Although I can’t get it zoomed out enough! My frame just isn’t large enough to get close up for photos

This lens is absolutely perfect for what I needed. I take a lot of action pictures from a short distance, but from where I stand to get the pictures, its as if I'm right next to the object that I'm getting pictures of. I couldn't be happier with this! It's been about a year since I've purchased and it's still holding up very well and works great! Very easy to attach/unattach from the camera

It's a great addition to your kit if you need a lightweight telephoto option without breaking your bank.

I have not owned this item long enough nor I have I had the opportunity to use this lens enough to provide in-depth feedback. Here is what I do know: I got a great deal on it at Best Buy. The price beat Amazon by almost $150.00 Although it is listed as automatic, my camera will not fully zoom in or out with the lens. Final focusing on either end must be done manually. I will not say much about pictures, because I have not taken enough yet and I would not want to mislead anyone. The few I have taken on full zoom are great. Finally, if you buy a product, please share your feedback. Most of us value and depend on what our peers say.

Beautiful and give more space lense for extra strength and focus

I am pleased with this lens, which came in a bundle with the a6000. It's surprisingly sharp and there's barely any distortion. Fun to use, I like it for portraits.

Really good lens. Though if you’re looking to get a shot of a far range portrait, it is good since you can go up to about almost 240mm which is so far and the resolution doesn’t break. The camera i paired it with is a ZV-E10. Great combination as well. But you might wanna have a close range or wide range lens as alternative.

A must have for serious photographers that own the Sony Alpha series cameras. Detail is crystal clear and the image stabilization results in stunning photos!
