I had originally bought the Samsung 8000 series, but had trouble finding a tv stand that I was comfortable with because of the legs. So I ended up returning it and getting the Sony instead. I am very satisfied with the stand it has, and the picture quality is really good. 4K is unreal! Controller is OK, in my opinion has too many buttons that I feel aren't needed and Samsung controller seemed easier to use. But again I am very satisfied overall and have no regrets.

Amazing picture quality at 4k with HDR....sound quality appears to be a little tinny but I use a polk audio sound bar and just keep the volume on set turned down...very happy with purchase

This tv will blow your mind with the clarity it produces,I have a 55" 1080p Sony tv as well and i thought that tv was clear,dont get me wrong 1080p is awesome but 4K will blow your mind completely.The clarity this tv produces is awesome,I know that a lot of you are saying that there are only a couple of 4K channels and you are correct but I also have the Sony 4K Blu-ray player and it looks amazing on the tv.Yes 4K is a little pricey but well with the $$$.

I have always had Sony TV's, usually the highest end ones. This TV with the 4K upscaling paired with the Sony AV reciever is the best ever! Love the Android interface and the picture is incredible, after my tweaking the settings. I would highly recommend it !

I bought this tv because my girlfriends Toshiba was so terrible, even though she advised me not to. She told me it was "a want, not a need". Pfff, that did no stop me. I walked right in, put down that BB credit card, was out in 15 minutes. Guess what! She LOVES that tv. That is how awesome it is. I always do my research before buying a tv. Any smart person should do that. This tv was by far the best bang for your buck. Solid reviews on many different sites, the specs were amazing, no backlight bleeding like some other tvs do, the Internet aspect, with all the apps, AMAZING. Highly recommend. Especially if you have that significant other that urges you not to, this will change his/her mind.

The picture is amazing, the set up was very easy! Definitely a great TV and great value for the price.

This television looks beautiful. It was easy to set up (even by myself). I also purchased a mid level Sony Soundbar. The only complaint about the TV is the user interface (UI). It can lag a little bit and just doesn't flow like some other smart tv interfaces. I also had to return the sound bar because the first one had a volume issue (only while watching cable the volume was so low even on MAX it was hard to hear). I love that the stand is in the center and not on the ends as I use a smaller table as my tv stand. Overall a great television.

This is definitely a "grown-up" TV. Returned a Vizio and bought this - best decision ever. Amazing picture quality and resolution. Zero drag, rich colour. Love the "Netflix" button on the remote. Easy to set up, looks sleek and the stand doesn't look cheap/plasticky like a lot of others on the market right now. Sound is terrible as to be expected, so factor in the cost of a soundbar when purchasing. 10/10 would recommend.

I like Sony and I buy them at Best Buy. This is my 3rd 55 inch. The other two are working perfectly after 3 years. This one is for my daughter's house. Easy packaging and setup. I had this one set up and working in 10 minutes. Programing was simple because of the user friendly aps. style setup menu. WiFi connection was simple and the sound appears the best of my three but I will still purchase a sound bar. Nice TV great price.

This has vivid and accurate color, 4k capability, HDR picture quality, and a nice easy to use menu interface to choose streaming content. I'm most impressed by the up scaling though for HDTV. All content looks much better than with a 1080p TV. Very solid build quality too. I'm highly satisfied with my purchase. The main con is that it's an edge lit TV and so in very dark rooms the blacks on the TV are more gray than black.

This was my first UHD TV and I would say it was worth buying this TV. The picture and sound quality is excellent. The setup was very easy. Watching HD videos on this TV looks really awesome. The remote quality is also good for handling. I am using the same TV with my XBOX and the picture flow and quality while gaming is really good. The only downside is the lack of 4K content available to fully utilize this TV features.

We have had this tv for just over a month, so this is just an initial assessment. Very intuitive design. Easy to use. Great picture quality.

OK...I'm a Sony fan. But I did a lot a lot of research into the major brands. Sorry to say but I always tell my kids to buy the best of what you can afford. The 55" Sony was the top of the line in it's class. The picture beats the other models in comparisons and looks rich and detailed. The remote ok and could be more advanced but the compatibility of the set with my Xfinity remote works fine. Glad I spent the extra.

Bought this tv to replace a10 year old LCD. Could not believe the picture quality difference. Setup was basically putting in your wifi password. It connected to it without a problem. Out of the box the picture was perfect. Have not made any adjustments to the color or anything else for that matter. Like it just the way it is. Salesperson said Sony needs the least adjustments. I made several trips to Best Buy looking at the different brands and searched the internet before settling on the Sony. It had the most life like picture next to the LG OLED. The LG cost over two and a half times as much. Could not justify the cost. This tv gives you the most bang for your buck. Don't believe you can go wrong with this purchase.

Had a vizio tv that I had bought and didn't like at all and I decided to get this Sony instead. I was at the store for a good 2 hrs looking at all of the brands and comparing specs and reviews and I decided to get this one as the price is on point and around $500 less then the Samsung tv. While the Samsung was better with the blacks the Sony wasn't far behind and for the price I'm very happy with my decision.

This is the first purchase for our new home and our first television purchase. We asked the sales team various questions and narrowed down our selection to this great buy. It is absolutely beautiful. The colors are bright and vivid and it comes with the option to mount on the wall or sit on a stand. The size is perfect for our living room, which is 18 x 13. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a new TV.

It was easy to set up and use. The color is good and what I'd expect from a Sony (this is my third Sony TV). On the downside, there was no instruction manual (I had to call the 800 number to get one emailed to me) and the Sony sound bar I purchased with the TV, although the sound is acceptable, does not show all the verbal prompts on the tv screen, as outlined they would in the sound bar user guide. To do so, you must run the cable wire through the sound bar, but this was not indicated in the user guide.
