We've only had this television for a little over a month but so far it's been great. It was easy to set up, it looks great and it works well. I haven't really used any of the special features yet so I can't touch on that. The menu setup is fine. I haven't had any issues. I would recommend the television to anyone who doesn't want a worthless television and also doesn't want to spend an excessive amount of money.

I needed a new TV for my basement family room and not really a TV expert - was overwhelmed by the choices. I didn't want to spend too much or get 4K as mostly watch TV upstairs - but have gone "cheaper" brands before and have regretted it. I knew the Sony had a great reputation and so far the picture has been wonderful and I love the SMART features. Of course, after I bought I heard friends bough a 4K and actually paid less than I did - but I am happy with my purchase.

Picture quality is great and the Xbox one games look fantastic on it. Connected to the wifi right away and after a quick update Netflix was loaded and ready to go. Only took a couple minutes to assemble the stand. Great sale price for a smart tv but definitely worth original price. This is the first Sony I've bought and I'm not disappointed. Has a short cord though compared to my other tvs so placement is important otherwise you are stuck using an extension cord.

Bought this TV during a great sale to replace an older TV and I'm very happy with it. I love Sony products as they are made well and very reliable. It has a relatively thin profile and is super lightweight. It was very easy to set up and get connected to the Internet to use the preloaded apps. Definitely worth buying!

Had gone to store for another tv that was not available. Decided to try this tv since it was a Sony and had features we were after. Was easy to assemble by myself. There is only a limited set of smart tv apps, missing HBO app. Only 2 hdmi ports that I could find so couldn't plug in cable ps4 and chrome cast at same time. Picture is beautiful and sound is good for family room tv.good tv for the price.

There are so many TVs marketed as 4k, 3D, HDR, etc with amazing specs on paper, obscene contrast ratios, blinding brightness, Super Smart TVs, etc... It's tempting to look at the specs and think the TV must be better because of higher numbers, more features, etc. Well, this Sony TV is a paltry 1080p with only the most basic Smart Features. A weak contender in today's feature flowing market. I already have a Blu ray player, an Apple TV, and surround system. All I needed was a TV with great picture viewed from my couch. Yes 4k TV's look great when a few feet away in the store, but when you're viewing a TV from a certain distance, 1080p is more than sufficient, especially when it can be purchased at a discount. When comparing this TV to other TVs at BestBuy, the overall color, detail, and lack of artifacts seen on other cheaply built sets really steered me to this Sony TV. I have owned Samsung, Panasonic, JVC, and others in the past which all had their own strengths, and would definitely buy again. But this TV stood out as a clear winner of color, quality, style, and price. The only gripe I have is that this TV doesn't have Sony Vue app available, even though it is a 2016 model and plenty of other platforms offer this feature. Best looking TV I've ever seen....not quite ;) A great TV for a great price. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sports guy,tv blew,great price. So happy with TV. Just gorgeous picture! Audio is nice and strong. Have it through giant audio system,but the TV speakers better than anyone else by far. Even had lifting handle's on back to get out of box safely! Great price,very pleased!

This tv allows you to enjoy each detail when watching a movie or a to tv show. The quality and the LED backlighting is amazing!

I love this TV, it is great for gaming, has a nice refresh rate, love all of the smart features built in. Highly recommend

Best value for your money tv out there! Blacks are deep and consistent, colors solid and no motion blur for sports. Speakers are better than average for led tvs but if you want deep sound get a sound bar. Only two HDMI ports is a downer as is no ESPN app but otherwise this is a great TV! For the price, amazing.

I bought this TV to upgrade my bedroom TV from 40" to 55" - and got a great deal as this was a door buster item for $349! I also love Sony products because of their overall quality and longevity. The picture is very sharp and clear and I love all the Smart TV features. Great TV - especially for the price!

You really can not get a better TV than a sony... one of the best owned since my 39-inch Trinitron!!!

was choosing between this and an LG of the same size and decided to go with this one base on its reviews and it being a sony. always been a sony fan when it comes to video stuff and cameras set up was super easy. it isn't a 4k but i the 1080p viewing was more than enough to impress me highly recommend it if your budget is around 5 to 600 bucks

This TV can't be beat at this price. The picture is excellent and the viewing angle is wide. My only complaint is that it only has 2 HDMI inputs (an HDMI switch makes this a non-factor). One of them is an HDMI ARC connector which allows one to hook up an audio system that supports ARC via the HDMI (as opposed to the optical - which it also has). HDMI ARC is a nice bonus in this price range. This TV is a real winner and what you would expect out of Sony. Don't overlook it because it's not 4k or HDR. Sure the picture on the triluminos display is better (unreal - only thing better is OLED), but it costs more than double. You won't miss the 4k at normal viewing distances. Two years ago you would have paid more than double for this TV. It's a steal in the $400-$450 price range. Save some $$ and put it into your sound system. The sound on this TV is like the sound on all flat screen TV's - existent, but not thrilling. In two years move this one to the basement and get that triluminos display for half the cost.

Reviewing Sony Model KDL55WD650D Much better picture than my 55" Vizio. Easy to set up. Remote is large but not too large to be comfortable to use. Instructions to assemble stand to TV could be better. So far has not cut out on Netflix as my previous TV did. Very satisfied with the product. Got at a great price during Black Friday Sale.

Great picture quality! Spent a lot of time going over reviews and this TV didn't disappoint!

TV looks great, picture is very good, colors are nice and vivid. Weight not too bad, fairly stable on its stand. Only problem I've noted is that the sound quality is pretty bland (slightly tinny) and that volume sometimes needs to be increased in order to get good clarity on voices. Never had that problem on either of my other TVs.

Couldn't be happier with this tv. Just needed a basic smart LED model and bought it at a black friday sale price. Very impressed once it was turned on. Even at the $100 off sales price it is worth to purchase. If you don't need 4k programming this is the smart tv under $500 to get!
