I've been wanting a good 55" class TV for awhile now and couldn't help but grabbing this one on Black Friday, this TV has been one purchase I don't regret. I love that it is a Sony so you know the picture quality will be great. The extra app features such as Hulu and Netflix work perfectly and the built in WiFi is very helpful. With the more expensive 4K TV's slowly taking over I was glad I was able to grab a good quality 1080p TV before they get harder to find.

I've always been a Samsung guy myself but my wife and I were looking for a new TV to replace or 11yo Samsung LCD and we found this set on sale. We compared it to an LG 55in 4K with HDR that was also on sale at the time. Talking to the sales rep at the store we discovered that this Sony TV was more bang for our buck so we decided to go with it. What a great choice it was. The picture quality is great and is really bright which we like. The only reason in don't give it a 5 star rating is because I wish I had one more HDMI input.

Compared this model with the 58" Samsung...no contest, both picture and color were far better on the Sony. Good sound too. All for sale price of $450....!

Bought this TV for my mother as a Christmas gift. She not only loves the fantastic picture , she finds it extremely easy to use and just plain loves it.

55" Sony HDTV has a great picture and easy to operate

Had this TV about a month now & every time I look at it I'm impressed at the beautiful picture & sound quality compared to my old 37" JVC. I'm no techie but was able to get the TV setup & working easily. I just have mine hooked up to an outside antenna, which works great, will need a new modem before I can get her online. Was watching the price on Best Buy for about a month, then one day they dropped the price 50 bucks. I ordered online & picked up at the local store, so far best 400 dollar TV I've ever owned. Always like Sony's, now I remember why.

I am not an expert but the set has a very clear picture, was easy to setup and connect to everything. No complaints. Very satisfied for the price.

This tv is great. It has a clear picture, it's easy to use and the best part is that it's a smart tv. My only regret was not purchasing it sooner.

Great 55 inch smart TV. The price was lower than most TVs in this class. The only drawback is the 2 HDMI ports. Picture quality is fine and the apps work well.

We bought this TV as an early Christmas present to ourselves, and we couldn't be happier. We upgraded from a 39" Phillips SmartTV, and the picture quality on this TV is a serious improvement. While it's not 4K, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. Fast action like sports look great with this set's refresh rate, and the color depth is fantastic. Typical poor sound quality you'd expect from a flat screen TV, but even then it still sounds good enough for most applications. Especially considering the sale price I paid, we couldn't be happier.

Bought this for my mother (77yrs old), she loves the size & picture. It was easy to set up and use. Its a sony so I figured it would be fine.

I'm not the biggest TV watcher, so I opted for a TV without the latest technology (4K etc.) for one with the current technology at a good discounted price. As my first large screen purchase, I have nothing to compare it to but the picture looks sharp to me. Sound is fine as it's in my bedroom and I'm only a few feet away. Setup was pretty easy (helps that I'm techy). Haven't played around too much with the "smartness" of the TV other than Netflix (how cool must it be for Netflix that remotes have a dedicated button just for them???).

I love my TV. The picture is great. The smart features work great and fast. I would highly recommend this Tv to my friends and family.

The colors are so vibrant and life like that its almost like being there. It was an easy and fast installation and hook up. Wonderful sound.

I purchased the 55 inch Sony Smart TV and it was well worth the money. It was very affordable and the picture and features are excellent.

Excellent tv for what it's supposed to be. No bells and whistles but great quality picture at an affordable price from a reliable company.

When I say it is BIG, I was referring to it being in a home office, it is a really nice tele for the price, as I got it on Black Friday.

Sony was once a premier provider of TVs, but seemed to have dropped out of the race. It is back in the running and arguably competes with the best of other brands. Setup is simple, picture and sound quality are great. Wi-Fi apps are abundant. However, the Web browser (called Orchid) should be replaced with something like a Google Chrome app. Their slightly higher price over other TV brands would justify that change.
