This was actually the 2nd 55" TV we purchased. When we decided to upgrade, we initially went with a Vizio. We'd purchased several over the years and had always been happy with them. Unfortunately, the Vizio we selected had terrible off-angle viewing and didn't work in our living room so we exchanged it. After reading some reviews and viewing several TV's in the store, we decided to purchase the Sony. One of the strengths of this TV is the off-angle viewing which is probably the best in this size/class. It looks almost as good viewing from the side as it does straight on. The picture was excellent right out of the box, setup was easy and it works well with my Yamaha home receiver. I couldn't ask for anything more. I've owned Sony products in the past and have always been happy with them, this TV is no exception. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

I've picked up this TV from the Best Buy store on Wednesday, 9/7, and actually opened the box and used it yesterday, 9/8. So far so good. However, I encounter two issues. First, the TV has the Voice Search/Command feature, but the remote control doesn't have the Voice button. Weird. Second, I tried to connect this TV via Bluetooth with my Harman Kardon Onyx speaker but unsuccessful. The TV keeps "Searching for Devices" indefinitely even though the Harman Kardon speaker Bluetooth is in the pairing mode. For other devices such as smartphone and tablet, the TV connects via Bluetooth flawlessly. So I don't understand why it can't connect to Bluetooth speaker. Other than these two issues, then I believe this TV is good overall and at the very affordable price.

I am finally writing a review on a tv I have had for 4 years now. I am actually looking to upgrade to a bigger tv but there's nothing wrong with this one. I will move it to a smaller room. I love Sony TVs!!! I have been buying Sony since I was a kid and this Sony did not disappoint. The picture is amazing, 4K is so beautiful, I just wish DirecTV had more 4K channels. I really thought by now everything would be in 4K. What is taking so long? Only trouble I ever had was that I would lose my wifi connection from time to time. I am looking at the next generation of Sony's now but I hope to have this one for many more years.

Excellent tv, picture quality is very good and it was easy to setup, the only thing that could be better is the refresh rate but you really only notice it when you play fast paced games other than that very happy with my purchase!

Sony is my television brand of choice and this TV is a fine example of why. Great picture and sound, great integrated smart features. Setup was easy and have had no issues so far. I did take 1 star off because it does not come with a voice command remote even though it supports that feature. It would not cost Sony much to add the upgraded remote to this model. I bought one on ebay for $50 so I could have that feature.

The colors on this TV are more vivid than real life. The 4K programming I can pull of Youtube are brilliant. I am eagerly awaiting the day TV broadcasts come in 4K. When they do, I will be ready. Even though they aren't 4K my Blu Rays look better on this TV than my old LED. I like this TV a lot.

My wife and I looked at a lot of tvs before deciding on this one. This is absolutely the best tv we've ever owned. The picture is beautiful, colors are brighht and its easy to use. Very happy with our purchase!

The picture on this TV is fantastic, the sound quality is great, and the features are definitely worth spending a little bit more. I was originally planning on getting a smart TV that was Google Chromecast enabled, but was able to get a great deal on this TV because there was an open box available. In hindsight, I'm really glad that I went with this one instead! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because a couple of the apps have been a bit glitchy (especially Amazon Prime), but I realize this may be an issue with the apps themselves, not the TV. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

Sony has long had a reputation of being a great brand. This 55 inch Smart flat-screen television is a perfect example: clear picture, bright color, and easy to navigate. The price was right too.

This TV is a perfect size - a large screen that doesn't overpower the room. I love having easy access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. The like the menu screen giving the options for cable tv. The biggest con is the remote. Changing the channel is a whole process on their remote. I just use the cable remote.

I have always been a bit of a technophile, and when making major tech purchases I always try to be sure that it's not so much "future-proof" as it is that it would last for a while and be compatible with some upcoming future tech. That's why with TV purchases I average about one every 4-5 years. With the advent of the consoles now and upcoming performing in 4K and streaming following suit, I figured it was time to take the plunge. Seeing this particular model for $699 at the time I went into the store...I couldn't pass it up. So, along with my new Xbox One S, I have been enjoying 4K via YouTube, upscaled gaming and 4K blu-rays. And with this being my first Sony TV, I am wholly satisfied.

We purchased a reasonably priced Sony 4K about a month ago and are 100% satisfied with it. We chose a Sony because we have always had great results from this maker. We are scheduled for a calibration in early Sep, but believe it will be hard to improve on the outstanding quality of this particular Sony model. Highly recommend for an introduction to 4K.

This is a true 4K TV. The color is excellent. Motion rate is double what you get from the Samsung TV. Better quality picture and color than the Samsung 4K TV. You get a great TV for the price.

For the price, the features are excellent on this Sony UHD 4K model. The picture is crisp in detail and spot on in color. The AndroidTV features are very familiar to a smart phone and are very reliable. We use over the air digital TV signals and the tuner on this model has pulled in all available channels and plays them in CRISP detail. Setup was very easy. The Sony manuals were almost useless but on the web you can find what you need for any questions.

It's smart, works with my Amazon Fire very well, gives me beautiful pictures. What I don't like is that, just like other flat screen tvs, the speakers are in the rear. This is stupid, at the very least. It requires that you turn up the volume higher just to hear the program. If you have a neighbor on the other side of the wall, having your tv so loud annoys them.

I was happily surprised how well this TV performed when comparing it to similar sizes and brands in the store. When I got it home I continued to be impressed. When text scrolls on news channels, it's clear. Watching Ultra-HD Blu-Ray movies with have fast action, you can follow along. When paired with the Samsing UHD player I was pleased to also see new colors I haven't seen before in my old HDTV. I found for me, the best picture is in the Sports mode with motion flow turned off, but that's just my preference.

I am just in awe over this TV. It is so clear and detailed. And I love the color/tint/contrast that is factory set. I'm not touching it!!! And the price was unbelievable!

Image quality is great. Easy set-up. Connect it to your wireless network, sync it with Netflix, Youtube, all that jazz. The TV will update itself, which seems to be the only drawback. More because you think "Come on, it's a tv, why does it need to download an update." But the included apps, and firmware support for HDR and all the other bells and whistles, it's a small price to pay for the great picture, beautiful color, lots of app support, and integration if you have other Sony products. It'll turn on your PS4, media player, or anything else that's also Sony, and be able to control them from the TV remote.
