Customers recognize the 55" Class 4K Ultra HD TV's exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and ease of use. Many appreciate the 3D capabilities and the effective upscaling of lower-resolution content. However, some users find the remote control somewhat difficult to use, and a few have noted concerns about input lag for gaming. While some consider the price point high, the overall positive feedback highlights the TV's strong performance in key areas.

I am a Samsung kind of guy but the picture looked really good and bright and the best buy guy was kind of pushing this one. Got it home am very happy with the pic, probably a little better than my other 4k tv which is an LG.

Great picture as expected, and we hope that the reliability is the same as our two previous HD sets from them over the past 20 years. The sound clarity is minimally adequate which we solved with a premium Sony sound bar.

Spent a good bit of time in store to discuss the if OLED was the way to go - don't do it yet based on what I saw and the cost difference. This one is a better choice at this point in time. Who knows next model year...

Bought this along with the NT5 soundbar/sub combo. Looks and sounds beautiful. Fairly easy set-up process. My only complaint? The power adapter is a bit loose and sometimes shakes loose. Other than that, it's a beautiful TV.

We decided to upgrade to a Sony 930 after having a Samsung HD TV for years. It is well worth the extra few hundred dollars to have Sony's amazing clarity. Glad we didn't pay the extra $100 setup cost as it was easy.

We bought this TV just 3 months ago. A few days ago, it was caught in an infinite loop and would not boot after it had been powered off. I called Sony warranty service who asked me a few questions and then told me to make sure the TV was not mounted on the wall--they were sending out a tech. (Best Buy's nice install job--gone.) The tech arrived a week later, installed a board which did not fix the television. Now, I'm told that Sony will send us a new television--but needs my credit card to make sure I return the old one? Supposedly the carrier should pick up the old one when they arrive maybe next week with the new television--so I don't know why my credit card is needed. That's AFTER Sony has reviewed our receipt to make sure we really bought the television--taking an additional 1-2 days to review. They will send us a new television which will take a week. They will not reimburse delivery, the original install cost of the new one or set it up as Best Buy originally did with home theater. It took those guys several hours to finish with the set up--good time and money gone.. To boot, the suspected reason the television failed is an interrupted firmware update--which can happen at any time because the TV automatically updates the firmware WITHOUT any visual notification to the user. I asked the tech if that is a parameter than can be fixed--and he said the updates happen automatically. Basically, we did what all of us do, we turned our TV off, not knowing there was a firmware update, and likely interfered with an update we had no idea was going on. Quite simply, that's a terrible way to update firmware and a very poor design; I"m wondering how long the replacement they are sending is going to last if no change to that process has been made. I'm really praying they've updated the firmware with a fix by the time we get this to let the viewer know an update is happening. Long time Sony buyer--but because of this television, not anymore. It has an absolutely beautiful picture--when it works.

Hands down this is the best looking 55" in its price range. For me, brand and aesthetics were top priority and Sony checks both those boxes with this TV. To clarify, I wanted a TV that is not going to look dated in a few years and the things that have stood the test of time design-wise for electronics are small/no bezel and simplicity. This TV for the price is the closest you will get to having something that looks like a piece of glass on your wall, moreso with the Sony thin wallmount. My one gripe however is the picture lighting is not as good as the SUHD TVs from Samsung which bring lighting all the way to the edge. This Sony has a shadow bevel going on which is annoying on solid bright color screens (eg. YouTube red splash screen).

The picture on this set is terrific. We thought a few years ago it couldn't get better...well it is better. We use. Zbar for sound and it makes understanding dialogue possible no matter the background sound.

This is a much better TV than the Bravura I purchased a few years back. Picture is incredible and the sound through my JVC receiver is terrific. Who know the years-old receiver would have an optical hookup.

I have had the tv for a while now an can tell you that the product has had no problems ,however the biggest downfall is the viewing. angle which is terrible ,if your not in front of the tv the color is all washed out,I would trade if that was an option.

Good, vivid color and definition. Picture is a 5 star, but the sound exhibits too much bass from many characters and is hard to decipher accurately what is said. It's either that or I have a hearing problem.

I upgraded from an old Mistubishi DLP 1080p TV and the picture is seriously night and day. I love the app selection on the Android TV. Paired with my Sony receiver, I have a great home theater setup now.

Great service at the store level and the Magnolia manager went above and beyond in making the purchase work for us. The install team was fantastic. They knew what they were doing and programmed the receiver and my Harmony Ultr perfectly. Only complaint was a bit of difficulty reaching the geek squad to confirm delivery and install.

I bought the Sony over the Vizio because of the picture quality and dependability. I still have my 32" Bravia XBR we bought in 2001 - still a great TV but my eyes aren't as good as they used to be!

this TV replaced my old 45" TV. All I can say going from a 1080p to a true 4K HDR and the new technology in the screens. you need to do this just to watch movies like your at your local movie theater.
