Aesthetically this TV looks great, so thin. The picture is great as well and I think it does a great job up-scaling. Sound isn't the best feature but you should be using a home theater system. Interface is good and 3-D is nice but some ghosting.

Bought this tv after having issues with a samsung , loved the construction of the TV overall as it is just stunning but sadly the set fell short of my expectations... The android interface is slow and not user freindly as well as very laggy. The remote is very clunky and complicated compared to the much nicer samsung remote. Picture quality is just ok , watching dvd was very grainy and pixelated while even the 4k content was distorted at times and impressive at others.. overall its s beautiful tv set but under performs next to the samsung 8 series ..

We are very happy with this purchase, it is a great tv, I will recommend this tv to all my friends, the quality is good, the colors are so bright, the images look so good, it is the perfect size to my livingoom, the camera and the sound are perfect.

Love this Sony tv! Awesome quality for this being an affordable price point tv. Amazing picture quality with true blacks and bright whites. The down side to this tv is that it is very sensitive and I've had two break on me within the first month of purchase. My first tv came broken out of the box and had to exchange it on Super Bowl Sunday. The second tv broke 3 weeks later but Best Buy wouldn't exchange that tv because I was past their 15 day return policy. Best Buy had terrible customer service and that is why I gave a 4 star review instead of 5. I replaced my second tv through Sony which was very easy and they provided great service. Once the claim was processed, I had white glove tv delivery service. They came out, delivered the new tv, set it up, and took back the broken tv free of charge. They even set up my Sony sound bar.

The xbr930d was the best hdr TV in the price range. Viewing angle isn't the widest though. It does wonderful color and picture for 4J and also upscales cable TV well. Not great 3d, but that isn't why I bought this baby. 4k and great apps.

It will come down to a Sony vs LG OLEV. Sticker shock was overcome when i saw it in action. Lower grade models did not compare and I don't have the $ for the 65 inch or OLEV. Picture is stunning in 4k and better than samsung and vizio which is a personal favorite. Talking to my remote was an added plus use google search functionality. The only negative is the poor speaker system. There are ample hdmi and usb ports. Also comes with applications such as kodi. Since i must use a cable box from timewarner/spectrum, i lose a bit of the built in functionality that this TV can perform, recommend to anyone, rumor has it that sony bought LG tech to put in 2017 TVs so ask your best buy technician when they assist you and for goodness sake, see it live at the store before you decide after reading reviews!

Love the picture and easy set-up. We added a compatible audio Sony 4K receiver. The Audio return capabilities of the tv and receiver greatly reduced the number of HDMI cables needed to get all the additional different stuff connected.

Sony makes the best TVs. The 3D feature will blow you away, picture is superclear, detail and sound will make you say wow. On the pricey side, but you get what you pay for, and worth ever penny. Top shelf TV, none better.

Picked up and setup myself. Very easy. Wish there were more information (booklet) with the TV. Otherwise what I was expecting. Extremely happy with picture and how much the 4k adds. Big improvement over the Sony LCD I had before.

Switched from a Samsung 4K tv and couldn't be more pleased. Great picture, easy to use.

Overall great purchase. Love the big size and it is a Magnolia Home Theater product. 4K and 3D. Got the sound bar to go along with it, as well as the wall mount and the screen cleaner. I look at this tv as an investment.

I got a great deal on this TV and had high hopes for it. It had a great picture very sharp but the blacks faded out in the upper corners. In the end returned for an LG OLED - awaiting delivery. Loved the Andriod TV function.

I upgraded to this 930D after a brief stint with the less expensive 850D model. The 850D was also impressive, but I'd been hoping for deeper blacks and better HDR performance. The 930D definitely delivers in both those areas while maintaining excellent color saturation and accuracy. Any content I've tried - from regular HD TV through out TiVo to 4K streaming services, to basic DVDs - has been very well reproduced. The upscaling is impressive, as is the motion handling. The dynamic contrast function uses the impressive local dimming to brighten highlights in content even with HDR encoding. The one deficit with the otherwise excellent local dimming is that bright text on a dark background does exhibit a significant halo effect. In practice it's not an issue for most content and the local dimming works well. The TV runs Android 5.01 - not up to date even by 2015 standards, but it has been solid for me and has a good feature set (built-in Googlecast support, Miracast, Google Play store apps, syncs to my Google account). The apps really do a good job rendering streaming content, including 4K which is flawless in Netflix and Amazon Video. Some minor glitches with the O/S early on seem to have resolved themselves. 3D playback has been fine with Sony's active glasses and gaming from XBOX One has been great. Some have mentioned high input lag, but I've not found this to be a problem, including in games like Halo 5 where responsiveness is important. All in all this TV is really impressive. Not 100% perfect - I wish the local dimming feature was even more localized - but pretty darn close to perfect across a very broad array of applications. All in all very happy.

This is an excellent TV. The input lag was reduced by a recent firmware update making it worthwhile for games. The only drawbacks are a clumsy remote, and the relatively more white backlight patches in darker scenes.

This TV is so crisp and clear. The blacks and grays are so sharp that even very dark scenes are easy to see. You can get larger TV's for less, but you get what you pay for. If you want the best picture then this is it!

The Sony 55 inch is perfect size for my condo and has exceptional quality. The depth and definition is amazing, and the 3D capability adds additional fun. Because it is "smart" I no longer need the Apple TV or Roku.

Nothing beats a Sony and this 4K 55: Sony has remarkable picture quality with lifelike color tones. Excellent contrast without the artificial, cartoon-like contrast of the Samsung line. Highly recommended TV.

This tv beats all expectations. From the upscaling and the picture quality everything just looks so crisp. This tv excels above the competition in the market.

This is by far the most brilliant tv I've had in years. Color is rich. Everything smart is already built in and ready for use. First android tv owned and I have to say it's amazing. Clarity is awesome.
