Not worth it

But i saw no difference in picture quality. It was an amazing picture, dont get me wrong, but it wasnt any better than my 2 yr old tv. So if you already have an OLED i would say this isnt worth it, and to wait for newer technology tvs. I would recommend this tv to someone who is looking to upgrade from anything other than a quality OLED though.

After 5 months, the TV stopped working.

We purchased this TV in November of 2019. The TV worked great for the most part. It froze up a few times, but didnt think it was that big of a deal. Fast forward to April, the TV began to turn on & off on its own. I tried unplugging it and still not working. Changed the batteries in the remote and still shutting off and then turning back on its own. I couldn't even get to the setting menu. So I chatted with Sony since they are not taking calls due to the virus pandemic. Sony had me do a hard reset from the buttons on the side of the TV. It still wouldnt work. Now they plan on sending a tech to fix it. I'd prefer they send me a new one. Perhaps I should have bought Best Buys extended Warranty. Meanwhile, now we're stuck at home with only 1 working TV. I was planning on buying a Sony TV for our bedroom, but I think I will go with Samsung. Not a happy customer.

Volume control issues some times

A bit scared

Thought nothing of it but then it does it 2-3 more and there was a time when images were only displayed on 50% of the screen. I want to call best buy but just realized their exchange policy is within 14 days. I missed it by 2 days.

Not Recommended for Bright Rooms

Had it delivered and the picture was way too dark. Exchanged the Sony for Samsung Q9 series 8k. Couldnt be more pleased.

We had to return unusable items for refund. Geek squad disconnected audio and did not reconnect. Geek squad sold us an extended 5 year warranty on the tv, but we have been unable to get a copy of the warranty with its specific terms (specifically coverage for burn- in on an OLED tv.

Major issues and major disappointment

TV will power on but no picture appears on screen. Everything appears to be working behind the scenes but screen is black. Forced resets did fix issue but even those are no longer working. Contacted Sony Support and told to enable IP control but even that is no longer working. No error messages or anything else just a black screen. Eventually screen comes on but this is unacceptable. Looks like I will be buying another tv as I wait for Sony Warranty response. Been very happy with Sony in the past, but this has been a major disappointment.
