just picked up the new a80j this past oled tv this past monday from best buy and love it. i have an lg cx oled that i moved to my bedroom after purchasing this tv. lg looks good watching 4k content but this sony bravia xr a80j oled looks amazing. watching 4k content like movies in cinema mode is way better on the a80j as i have to turn vivid mode on the lg to get anything close to what i get on the bravia xr cinema mode. plus i love the imax enhanced mode you get for watching movies as you can find movies in imax 4k in bravia core which is a streaming site just for sony xr tvs that has a wide selection of 4k and 4k imax movies

Best tv I’ve ever owned. Fantastic for gaming. Pairs so wonderfully with Sony sound system and PlayStation 5. So smooth together I love it. I’ve mounted mine to the ceiling with a remote control raising and lowering it when I’m using it or not.

Picture quality is absolutely incredible on this set and the sound is amazing. Before we put it up, we thought we would want to add a sound bar, but we are happy with it as it is.

Been using this TV for a year now and it hasn’t disappointed. Gaming on the PS5 is perfect, specially the PlayStation exclusives with the VRR support and beautiful colors with OLED.

Love this TV! Picture quality is great! Sound is good, but I always have it connected to my JBL sound bar anyways... I bought a Samsung QN90A to compare and keep the winner... I'm a Samsung guy, and eventhough it was brighter than this TV, but this A80J picture was noticeably better . IMAX mode on HBO is amazing. Samsung excels with game mode features and UI tools. I miss the small and sleek Samsung remote with solar rechargeable batteries, this big ugly remote has too many useless buttons. I only kept it for the he picture quality. QN90A looks washed out and bright scenes look overblown and less detailed.

I’m a loyal Sony customer and hope this tv stands up to my expectations. Picture quality is wonderful and sound is decent. I’d still recommend a soundbar to increase bass. I love the Sony interface and still need to learn more from google home features. I was looking for a 120hz tv that would work well with video games and make shows and movies look amazing. This tv helps a lot whith dark scenes commonly found in newer shows and movies. Installing was a bit difficult compared to other Tv sets I’ve bought.

Purchased this OLED after my Samsung QN800A’s image went out after 24hrs of ownership. I’d have to say that the only thing I miss about Samsung is the remote. This A80J has made me a fan. Not only if OLED, but of Sony TVs in general. Gaming on it is amazing. Movies on it is amazing. Ease of physical setup is amazing.

This is my first OLED tv and I'm very happy with the performance and picture quality. The tv produces true black images that gives better detail than LED TVs that usually gives blue'ish black. The motion flow is smooth and the image is sharp and very clear. My only issue is that the settings menu is a little hard to use.

This TV blew me away in terms of picture quality. The blacks are very clean and the whites are very bright. There is a bit of glare and you don't want to be watching in bright ambient light, but average light is just fine and the TV really shows it's worth in a dark environment. All things considered, there's not enough to complain about to rate below 5 stars. Sound quality is good for a TV but I didn't use it much preferring a receiver and surround setup. I do have to mention that a vertical line about a pixel wide appeared on the right third of the screen the third day after delivery and was present on the home screen without external input. It saw no more than four to eight hours of use each day. Customer service was helpful and efficient with setting up an exchange. I'm hoping that this is just a random and rare issue because I really love the TV. If I'm not wrong, LG makes all OLED panels and sells to the other brands so I would put the issue more on LG's panel than Sony but there's no way to say for sure. We'll see how the replacement does. I have provided pictures of the issue only, as snapping photos from a phone to demonstrate picture quality would never work. You need to see it with your own eyes. Rest assured, the picture quality is no less than amazing.
