No more lag playing video games. It was this or LG C1. Chose this because the quality is little better in watching movies. Google tv is awesome to use, set up is really quick. Yes it cost couple hundred more but it worth it

Bravia oled 55 in v samsung qled

I have samsung q80t and q90t (i.e. qled tv), one is 65" the other is 85", and I am happy with those tvs, BUT, after seeing this bravia 55 in. OLED. I wish i would have gotten that instead of my 65 in samsung. The bravia oled is super clear and rich detail vibrant colors even shades of black. I like the picture quality slighly better on the bravia. The one downside of the bravia and all oleds is that sunlight from the outside glares much more off the tv screen vs the samsung screen which reduces the glare. I didnt have a chance to play video games on the bravia, so i cant comment on that. The samsung tvs are great for ps4/5 xbox gamers. Bottom lone, i Highly recommend this bravia and get the oled version, it is worth the extra bucks if you can afford it.

Glad I upgraded my TV

This image quality is amazing and everything just 'pops' out. Images are more defined and the colors are beautiful. The interface is fluid and does not lag. The most popular apps can be downloaded or already come pre-installed. It recognizes my PlayStation 5 immediately and that is a plus. The sound for the television is surprisingly good! I don't have a surround sound and this is doing well for my needs. Don't know how they managed to sneak a bit of bass into it since it is so thin but it is distinct enough to define. The color calibration menu gives you quite a bit of options. I came from a Samsung 4K QLED 55'' and that thing is nothing compared to this. I will give it the benefit of the doubt since it is now 3 years old but the difference is marginal; the Sony is easily better in every single way.

Sony Bravia 55 inch OLED

Very happy with the TV. Both brands we were interested in the model just below the top model. It was priced pretty well. Delivery was great. The picture is fabulous. I did play with the settings. The apps on the TV give a better picture than the cable box. We use both, but NETFlIX and Prime give some content at 4k or something a step above the cable box we have. So it may pay to look at Prime and Netflix through the TV instead of the app selection on cable box. We mostly watch cable but the internet selections through WIFI on the TV (press the "home" button to see what you have, you can add and subtract through "settings") are getting better and better. We do watch programming from a large variety of sources and the TV's apps and interface are very good. We find it a little easier to use than the old LG we have or Roku.

You'll never find a better picture - anywhere! The TV is easy to operate and is responsive. It sounds as if they put in a Polk Audio Speaker in there somewhere as the bass is real as it gets.

Sony OLED has better color than LG OLED

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR: Go with Sony Bravia OLED if you want deep darks with more realistic colors; otherwise, go with LG OLED for deep darks that's pretty much pitch black. LG's stranglehold on the OLED market is over. Sony's OLED offering is awesome: The Bravia A80J series combines the deep darks of OLED with realistic color that Sony TVs are known for, plus it has Google TV already built into it as well as support for HDMI 2.1 (Ie. 4K at 120hz) that I use for gaming. The only thing is that the deep darks on Sony TVs isn't as pitch black like they are on LG TVs. However, this is a matter of color preference. Sometimes it's possible to miss details - like a black microphone against a black background (say a shirt worn by someone sitting in a press conference in a room with lights on) on LG TVs because LG tunes its brightness way down. To me that's *too* dark but others may beg to differ.

Navigating through the menu and using various apps so far the TV is very responsive. The only issue I have is while connected to HDMI 3, the HDMI/eArc port the tv will randomly startup with a solid green screen. I have to either pull the power plug or hold the power button to restart the TV for it get rid of the green screen

We regret to hear that you are experiencing an issue with the HDMI 3 port of your Sony TV. This is definitely not the customer experience we want you to have. Please make sure your TV has the latest firmware by performing a software update. The update improves the performance of the TV and includes key features, applications, and bug fixes: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00119543. We highly recommend using a premium high-speed HDMI cable for your smart Google TV. You can also use a different HDMI cable to further isolate the issue.
Feel free to test the TV again and verify if it resolves the issue.

Love my new 55" Sony OLED 4K

Beautiful picture, was able to set up ARC with my Panasonic sound bar, very pleased with this purchase.

Expensive OLED but worth the price!

It’s good to know that BestBuy can still provide good deals for electronic products like this amazing Smart OLED. This plays movies just like in the theater and it doesn’t disappoint for gaming as well.
