I did have one issue when I first set it up where it would randomly mute/unmute and turn on/off. I thought I was going to have to return it, but a call to Sony’s tech support helped fix the problem. Turns out my AppleTV remote was causing the issue. There is an option in the setup to turn on/off the AppleTV remote ability to control other devices that fixed the issue.

It is viewable from the side too which is huge plus when the TV is mounted on a wall. This is our first Smart TV and we really like the way the remote gets us to exactly what we want with one click. Our last flat screen was a Sony Bravia which we purchased in 2008 and it still has a perfect picture but was a little too heavy to mount on the wall-and it wasn't a smart TV. This new Bravia was a 'smart' buy for us.

Our in-store sales person was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The Geek Squad team, led by Phil Stetler, was awesome. They were prepared, professional, and had solutions that made the installation smooth and satisfying. Phil followed up two days later, as promised, and offered additional support if needed. Our tv’s picture is beautiful. We are extremely pleased.

Outstanding Picture and Sound Quality

I don't have a home theater set-up or a soundbar. Right out of the box the TV was easy to set up. The sound doesn't disappoint. It is loaded with apps, but I use an Apple TV 4k for all my streaming. The Apple TV also helped set up the picture quality when you go through their set-up to match picture quality. I would recommend this TV to anyone who doesn't have extra audio capabilities and wants a great, crystal clear 4k picture.

I got this home and got it hooked up. Below are the pros and cons. Now keep in mind, I got this as a Black Friday special for $1400 plus tax. Pros(when it is properly working) - great picture - great sound - Sony Bravia Core credits and free 12 month streaming. I say this is a pro because it’s only on Sony and nowhere else. I would honestly go back to buy a cheaper Sony tv as a back up to enjoy the movies I was able to get for free like Venom 2, Spider-Man 3, Spider-Man: Far From Home, etc. you get 5 credits to spend. The other cool thing is these movies were in true 4K IMAX format. It was very clear when it worked. Cons - WiFi : It will not stay connected to the internet. When watching a movie or playing a game, in the top right corner of the screen it constantly goes from connected to not connected and never goes away. The day I got it, it worked for 10 minutes and then started doing this. I went out of town the night I got this. So during the day while I was packing, I had nothing to watch or listen to in the background so I opted for my cell phone. - SCREEN: when it was working (after I got back in town) I was in the middle of watching a movie after I was able to keep it connected to WIFI. and randomly green squares would flash quickly in alignment across the bottom of the screen. I tried this in gaming and it did the same thing. It scared me half to death. So this tv was def going back. - GAMING: the gaming is okay. I game with a PS5 and the gaming features aren’t the best as advertised. The picture was clear when I was playing guardians of the galaxy. Whenever I played Battlefield 2024 it wouldn’t connect to the servers because of the WiFi issues. FINAL VERDICT: I was able to pick up my LG C1 yesterday after returning this one and the LG is great and had no issues whatsoever but got some reason I’m not feeling it either. But I may keep it. I like the soap opera effect where picture is smooth because to me it immerses you into the story. But I must say that the picture is fantastic and the dark blacks and light whites are spot on. Go with LG. Please don’t by this Sony. It just isn’t worth the hassle of getting it home, hooking up and finding the issues wrong with it.

I own the LGCX which I still feel is a little bit better for gaming, unless you are a PS five gamer. This TV has a much better picture right out of the box. Very little setting calibrations are needed. The sound is fantastic coming right from the screen. I don’t feel there’s a need to go with the A95 as the brightness difference is very minimal compared to the additional cost. Anyone would be very happy with this TV.

Game of Thrones looked amazing, Marvel movies on Disney plus were flawless, Nature documentaries on Netflix were breathtaking. Couldn't be happier. Sound quality is amazing for a TV, if you want to avoid a soundbar or audio system. I went with the Sonos arc which I later on hooked up and it was definitely more immersive and added an extra realism and dimension to the sound (ex it would sound like the horses were running through the room).

The image quality is excellent and even old shows such as Andy Griffith look good. Google voice works well. I like that there is on screen tv guide that shows all the channels as well as a button to get a synopsis of the show that is playing. I am still learning how to use the guide features. Stream has worked well. One of the best features is that it has Google tv and the image processing improves quality and over the air tv reception.
