Difference compared to my previous backlight screen is small, but noticeable in the shadowy scenes. Google TV is truly amazing, very flexible and intuitive. Sound is very good - decent base and midrange. Don't need the soundbar most of the time!

Solid build and AMAZING true to life quality. Not over saturated, preset out of the box is amazing. I recommend cinema mode for the picture option to get the most true to life feel but dealers choice!

Great tv, awesome colors, blacks are rich looking, menu is way better than Samsung format, tv speakers are awesome, tv stand is adjustable for speaker bar space, last time I owned a Bravia was back in the 90s when tv were 400lbs.

Sony 55" Bravia XR A80J OLED

almost all the features an OLED should have

Got an open box so that I could afford the 5 year Geek Squad program-----which covers "burn in", which no one else does. Not as bright as the A90J OLED but just 15% less peak brightness....which you almost never use in a movie set....and at 1/2 the price. Sound is "so so" but great for a TV built in sound system. So keep enough money to by a 5.1 sound bar. Only known problem is not being able to speak in a streaming station like "BBC" and get Sony to find the channel. But the Xfinity box bringing in the satellite channel to the house does this just fine. Rather I have to speak the channel number, like "500" into the mic to get the right TV channel. Aside from that, everything works perfectly. Picture sharpness and HDR brightness are fantastic. Sound from Vizio 5.1 makes StarWars come alive when fighters fly across the screen.

A Solid OLED Performer
