Looked at many for several weeks. This tv is easy to set up and has lots of features.Easy to understand and follow instructions when turning on the TV. The picture is superb. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the setup leaftlet enclosed and the dowloaded sheet from Sonys website , is wrong. Those show only two HDMI ports and not the 4 that are on the TV. Saved me a lot of set up problems.Of course the price was amazing. I purchased a Samsung Soundbar with it so I havent checked out the TV sound. No need.

Awesome OLED TV Crystal clear watching NBA Basketball. My first OLED! Sony never disappoints me. Vibrant colors when watching 4K & HDR content. Blows me away watching Apple TVplus, HBO, etc. Audio is surprisingly decent. Got this on sale & was satisfied that Best Buy compensated me because they canceled my initial delivery date. I'll update my review if needed. So far so good.

120hz works amazing on the pc i have connected to it. ps5 and xbox series x connected to 1 hdmi 2.1 port via a hdmi switch. pc connected to another hdmi 2.1 port. nintendo switch connected to an hdmi 2.0 port and an amazon firestick connected to the last hdmi 2.0 port. everything on this tv looks gorgeous. i have it a dim room so brightness isn't an issue at all, sound sounds better than expected, tho i still have a surround sound system hooked up to it.

Excellent tv, great reviews. Topnotch picture, Wish it had more hdmi 2.1 inputs but i usually watch more movies than gaming , but the gaming on my Xbox series x is still fantastic. Bought newer version , th A80K but for $300 less, pretty much almost the same tv with a few cosmetic differences, i prefer the design of the A80J. The sound is very good, of course a soundbar sounds better but if u dont have space for one this'll do. Love this tv. Go buy one if available.

Honest review that didnt let hype get in the way so i waited until the honeymoon phase was over. I think some reviewers are too excited to write reviews about shiny new toys so i waited to write mine. When i first bought it i too was extremely excited and after a year of owning my first oled i can say it is going to be hard to ever go back to non oled tvs. Its really crazy how imperfections in other tvs become very clear once youve gotten used to oled. Theres no clouding, backlight bleed, washed out colors, its crystal clear depending on the content. And of course its not all roses hence why i said it depends on the content... What becomes apparent after a few months in is that some current/past media have some annoying picture irregularities that will become noticeable on an oled. For example, a lot of games use picture noise for their graphics, or sometimes the games picture wont fill the whole screen and causes edges of the screen to not fully fit the tv border. Little things like this become noticeable because what youre getting is a pure representation of the image. With that said, these minor gripes are overshadowed by the fact that new 4k 120 content looks absolutely amazing. Oled tvs are less brighter than hd tvs but there are settings you can change to brighten the picture to an acceptable level. Game mode resolves input lag without sacrificing visual quality and movies look wonderful albeit a bit dark for some scenes depending on the movie.

I've been wanting to get an OLED TV for a while. When our almost 15-year-old 52" 1080p TV in our bedroom finally crapped out on us, it gave me the perfect excuse to finally do it. After a lot of research, I settled on the 55" Sony A80J, which was their 2021 model, and was about $400-500 less than their 2022 model. The A80J had tons of great reviews, and overall, I have to say I agree with them. The picture is crisp, clear, and the blacks are super black with no halo effect. We watch 99% of our content via our Apple TV 4K, and HDR10/Dolby Vision sources look amazing. And the Sony processor does a fantastic job of handling lesser-resolution content (like from YouTube). There are only two downsides so far: 1) As with all OLEDs compared to backlit LED TVs, is that it's not as bright. In a dark room, sure, it looks amazingly bright. But depending on your setup, if there is an abundance of light in the room during the day, some scenes, especially dark ones, may be pretty hard to see. Fortunately, we can cover our bedroom windows pretty well so daytime watching isn't much of an issue. 2) I thought that the whole "the screen is the speaker" marketing was going to be this amazing audio experience from a TV speaker (which is what we used on our old TV; we don't have any surround sound or soundbar). But honestly, even after calibrating the audio, it doesn't feel/sound much different than the TV speaker from our 15-year-old TV. No big loss though. I can't speak to gaming on this TV (though I would love to) because it's our bedroom TV and my gaming is done downstairs on our 75" Samsung QLED, but I bet it would blow my socks off. In any case, so far I am very happy with the A80J. It was a great deal and I hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

Picture quality is A+. I set it up as basic TV and opted out of all the Sony ads. OLED is on another level than your regular LED. Two 2.1 HMDI 120Hz ports great for next gen gaming (4 HDMI ports total). Sound quality is solid. If you can get this on sale, grab it!! Got it for $900 off

Colors are awesome and vibrant. It's a 2021 model, hence the huge discount. I saw the 2022 models in the store and there is virtually zero difference in the picture. The biggest difference in the two is the processor, but this model still zips through the menus and apps on Google TV, so whatever. Really can't beat getting an OLED for $1k.

Oh, I just love my Bravia TV.. The picture is just so crystal clear , makes you feel like you are actually experiencing it, Along with the just purchased sound bar I bought to go with it, I never want to leave the house! Thinking of getting a larger one for the garage for the summer!!

This was steal of a deal on that fantastic tv. You cannot go wrong with OLED. The picture quality is amazing. The sound I actually used through my receiver with Fire Stick. Loved every minute of this TV. Loved it so much I bought just a bit shorter 48” to replace a regular 4k. You can never go wrong with a Sony!

Stuck between LG and Sony, we chose the later with the main reason being Sonys upscaling technology that comes with the Bravia series, it's a great way to get the most out of lower resolution consoles if you have any. It was only a bonus to have great sound without additional hardware and color that pops, couldn't really fault and would recommend 5*

Wonderful tv with bright and vibrant colors. Good sound quality. No complaints what so ever. The tv stand can be oriented in different ways. I had it assembled low to the tv stand to give an immersive experience

We are very happy with the TV. Good sound, wonderful picture, low price. Looking foreword to watching the Super Bowl in 4k. Able to control everything from our old cable remote which my wife appreciates. The Total Tech installation was super. The tech made sure everything was working and we understood how to use the remote to do things.

Sony television is like no other! In a class of its own when it comes to making top tier TVs. I will never go back to Samsung or any other brand. Amazing picture the moment you plug it in. Rich colors and sharp picture!

Fantastic TV. The image is as crisp as it gets. I would also highly recommend getting a soundbar. The sound, for TV speakers, is ok--it sometimes gets muddled depending on the film you are watching and the soundtrack, noise + voices during dialogue get all together in a way that may be hard to understand all the words that are beind said. That said, when it comes to TV speakers, it's the best I have seen so far. The image quality is fantastic. Make sure to use the two ports that they have available for HDR to have higher picture quality, and to also play with the settings appropriate for what you are watching. The TV has very intuitive menus to select the most appropriate configuration (game, picture, film, etc.). I have never played with the audio settings, but I am sure that this would enhance the quality of dialogue audio in films with loud background noise or soundtrack.

I think Sony tv are the best television out there. The quality of the picture is superb to any other set out there. I will only own a Bravia OLED from now on. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone. This is the best TV I have ever had.

Beautiful quality picture but wayyyy to dim for my viewing pleasure. Returned. Didn't love the OS or huge remote.

…but I LOVE this Sony TV! After much comparison at the awesome Best Buy TV display area between several TVs I narrowed it to the LG and Sony offerings. Even though I hate the proprietary nature of Sony’s products and software, I was sold on their TV software, especially as it relates to their OLED dark to light rendering capabilities. VERY clear blacks where you can still see the writing on the walls in night scenes, yet nicely balanced whites that don’t just blind with pure lumens. Far better than my perception of similar LG OLED offerings. I actually walked out of the store empty handed because I couldn’t fathom turning against my anti-Sony bias so easily, but I went ahead and bought it the next day. I guess there really is room for forgiveness in my black heart lol

I’ve had this TV for over a year now and it’s absolutely gorgeous. I have my PS5 hooked up to it and it’s never looked better. Absolutely in love with TV. The OS leaves a little to be desired but i use my apple tv and that’s the only knock.
