USB ports stay on 24/7/365

Also Sony doesn't set tv at best picture but if you go to YouTube and search how to set for better picture you'll see what a difference in the picture.

Posted .Hi RichJ, We are sorry to hear that the A80K did not meet all of your expectations when it comes to the picture quality. If you want to enjoy watching a High-quality 4K picture, a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable that supports speeds of 18 Gbps is required.
And to display 4K 120 Hz picture, an Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable that supports 48 Gbps is required. Refer to the cable specifications to find out whether a cable supports 18 or 48 Gbps.
Other than that, you can use any regular HDMI cable.
Also, please make sure set the HDMI signal format to "Enhanced". To change the HDMI signal format setting, press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, then select [Settings] — [Channels & Inputs] — [External inputs] — [HDMI signal format] — [Enhanced format].
