    Loosing confidence in Sony

    Had to replace the first one as it kept locking up and deleting apps. While the replacement has preformed better, I am starting to notice issues with this one as well. It recently froze-up and had to unplug it to reset it as it would not respond to the remote. There are some resolution issues as well that I am trying to determine if it is the TV or the streaming source.

    I returned this TV. I found the motion processing effects nauseating and the picture did not look great when turned off. Cable management in the back was ridiculous. Tried a Samsung and also didn’t like it. Ended up with the LG C2 and personally think it is better in every way for the same price if not cheaper.

    TV lack ability to select DVR as input.

    The TV was delivered and hooked up to my AV receiver. The hook-up went fine and it works great with my existing surround sound system using my Cox cable connection. However I cannot find a way to select my DVR as input. I was told that this TV would work like the Sony TV it is replacing but this one does not allow my to select the DVR as input. My earlier one did. I am disappointed.

    Great picture and sound for the first 2 hours

    I purchased this TV based on picture and sound quality plus it is a Sony. This was purchased 12/18 around 12 noon. I installed it where my Samsung 50" was wall mounted over the mantle. It worked great, picture and sound were wonderful...for about 2 hours. Sitting down to watch some football, the screen went blank, no sound. All I got was 5 blinking lights where once was an off white light was. I unplugged for about 5 minutes, plugged back in and nothing except the blinking red light five time. I'm returning it this afternoon for another just like it and hoping this was just a Monday or Friday build and doesn't happen again. On this review, I'm posting would NOT recommend purchase. If the second one makes it longer and no issues, I'll modify or review again with updates

      If the TV is still with you, please try this troubleshooting steps on how to isolate the issue. Disconnect the TV from the network. If using a wired connection, disconnect the LAN cable.
      If using wireless connection, turn off the router and the modem. Turn the TV off and unplug the power cable from the power outlet and then disconnect all connected devices from the TV. Wait 1-2 minutes then plug the TV back in and power on.

    TV had software problems upon arrival and it was not functioning properly. Software still slow to respond and the performance is not what I've expected. Picture quality, dolby, and other features are good so that's an advantage when compared to others, but still not for me.

    Ridiculous service

    This tv was delivered Apr 2, 2023. Called it in Broken on July 8. Was told service was scheduled for July 12. No show. Called again was told they changed the date to the 19th! Again no show! I've spent approximately 4 hours back and forth with their agents. It’s a broken record. No customer satisfaction in sight. Now I have to call back again to schedule the repair! As a Best Buy "Total" member I find this totally ridiculous. Never again with this Corporation.

    $1400 loss... Disappoiting Sony TV

    This TV had issues soon after installing it. We have AppleTV, and when we connected to it, occasionally a static screen appeared before connecting. Then about a month later, the colors started to blur a bit but then went back to normal. Now, the TV has shut off completely, and blinks a red signal 5 times. We have tried troubleshooting and factory resetting it to no avail. Shame on me for not purchasing the BB 2 year replacement plan. I dont have the time or energy to find a service person for Sony, box it up, and take it to get repaired. Just going to take this as a $1400 loss. ALWAYS GET BEST BUY'S COVERAGE!! Lesson learned.
