It's possible the TV is set to automatically turn off after a certain period of inactivity or at a specific time. Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After a few months of use a 2" checkerboard pattern overlays the entire screen and from my googling this is a manufacturing defect for practically all OLEDs sold in the USA since 2020. With that big caveat, I like the darks in this OLED panel as compared to the local backlight LCD screen this replaced. The software is also decent, it rarely gets stuck on the internal "Smart TV" but instead switches to the active input.

While we are happy to hear that you like the quality of your Sony OLED TV, we're sorry to hear that after a few months a checkerboard pattern appeared on the screen. This is not the experience nor the news we want to hear from our customer. Please allow us to help.
First, perform a soft reset:
- Point the remote control at the illumination LED or status LED.
- On the remote control, press and hold the POWER button for at least 5 seconds or until a Power off message appears.
Notes:
*The TV restarts automatically. Wait for approximately one minute and the TV will turn back on.
*If after one minute the TV does not restart, on the remote control, press the POWER button to turn on the TV.
If the issue still occurs after resetting the TV or viewing the video, kindly follow the steps in this link:
