I recently purchased the Sony 55" Class BRAVIA XR X90J Series LED 4K UHD Smart Google TV, and while it has its share of impressive features, there are a few areas where it falls short. After using it for six months, one prominent issue I encountered was the occasional delay when navigating between different apps. Let's start with the positives. The picture quality of the X90J series is truly remarkable. The 4K UHD display delivers vibrant colors, excellent contrast, and sharp details, resulting in a captivating viewing experience. Whether I was watching movies, playing video games, or streaming content, the visuals were consistently stunning. The HDR capability further enhances the picture quality, offering deep blacks and dazzling highlights. The smart features of this TV are another strong point. Powered by Google TV, it provides a user-friendly interface that integrates various streaming platforms seamlessly. The access to a wide range of apps, including popular ones like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube, makes it easy to find and enjoy my favorite content. The voice search functionality is a handy addition, allowing me to quickly find shows or movies by simply using my voice. However, one drawback that has been frustrating at times is the delay in app navigation. Occasionally, when switching from one app to another, there is a noticeable lag in responsiveness. While it may not happen every time, it can be a bit inconvenient, especially when I'm in a hurry or want to quickly switch between different sources of entertainment. This delay can interrupt the overall smooth user experience that this TV otherwise offers. Aside from the navigation delay, another minor gripe I have is the remote control. While it is functional and provides all the necessary buttons, it feels a bit bulky and lacks the premium feel that one would expect from a high-end TV. However, this is a subjective matter and may not be a deal-breaker for everyone. In conclusion, the Sony 55" Class BRAVIA XR X90J Series LED 4K UHD Smart Google TV is an impressive television that excels in picture quality and smart features. The breathtaking visuals and integration with various streaming platforms make for an enjoyable viewing experience. However, the occasional delay when navigating between apps can be frustrating and interrupts the otherwise smooth functionality. If you prioritize picture quality and smart features over app navigation speed, this TV could still be a solid choice.

I absolutely love this TV! It has a clear picture, great color and handles games on our XBOX Series X with no problems. The available apps make streaming a breeze. It does seem to pick up glare more easily than our previous TV, but does well in a darker room.

this TV is fantastic. love that it has Dolby Vision and HDR. Picture is superbe. Also love that it has HDMI eARC, perfect complement to Sonos Beam Gen2. very bright picture that also produces excellent black.

Vizio died so emergency run to Best Buy. I was looking for another tv but not in stock. Checked out this Sony on Consumer Report and it was highly rated especially dependability so I pulled the trigger and I'm glad I did. Great picture and colors are very, very good. I highly recommend this television.

Sony - 55" Class BRAVIA XR X90J Series LED 4K UHD Smart Google TV Model: XR55X90J SKU: 6453205 was a much better choice than my first purchase so I exchanged it in store the day before the home delivery date. Geek Squad Kelly was able to make sure the delivery and installation by Max and Ricardo would still be April 30. Sony - 55" Class BRAVIA XR X90J has so many more features than my 10 year old Samsung SmartTV also from Best Buy. Plus I purchased the Sony -UBP-X800M2 - Streaming 4K Ultra HD Hi-Res Audio Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-Ray Player - Black Model: UBPX800M2 SKU: 6336494 to compliment my new Sony TV. Got my first 4K Blu-ray movie Ex Machina Includes Digital Copy 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray 2015 SKU: 5883871 that looks great on the screen. Also for broadcast channels I got TERK - Indoor Flat Amplified HDTV Antenna - Black. The Rocketfish Full Motion Wall Mount from Best Buy tops it all off. My second entertainment home theater is now in my living room. The first with the Samsung is in my bedroom. Go Best Buy!

If you're a PS5 gamer then this is the TV you want. I purchased this one back in August of 2021 and it's been great. Now it's got all the software updates pushed out by Sony for vrr and allm. When you hook it up to your PS5 you can go into the video settings and it'll automatically set everything to optimal picture quality for you very easy setup. As with most TVs the standard speakers are just average but who uses those anyways when you have a good set of headphones or soundbar or home theater surround system hooked up to it. I highly recommend this TV.

It has been 10 years since I last purchased a TV, but after buying a PlayStation 5, it would be time to upgrade the TV. I was debating between a Samsung QLED and the Sony Bravia and I opted for the Bravia at the last minute. The Local Dimming on how it handle darks is what pulled me in as the closest thing I can get to OLED without breaking the bank. The Google TV and the streaming apps are great features, sports look great on it and it does a magnificent job on handling games on the PS5. I'm glad I went with the Bravia and I hope that this will be a part of the household for years to come!

Still getting used to 4K, smart TV in living room. Didn't want to spend $3K+ on high end OLED for now. This is best Sony choice; didn't want generic/department store 4K tv either. Outstanding picture quality; sound is great using the built in wall speakers. Spouse often uses wireless earbuds while streaming shows. The voice activated remote is nice too. I like not having movies blaring while I'm in another room. So far, very happy with Sony Bravia upgrade from 2007. Best Buy (BB) installation is a must buy. BB Installers cut through all the tech nonsense that'd take us hours to configure, and had new cables in truck "just in case"--yes, needed newer version. Always get extra warranty on electronics. A superb Black Friday purchase--delivery only 9 days later. Also an excellent way to reach out to customers in these "at home" times. Well done (so far).

Love this Tv! Got it for my bedroom solely for watching movies in 4K-HDR & Dolby Vision. I watch a lot of physical discs like Joker, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Dark Knight, Aquaman, and Tenet and it looks crisp and terrific! I did adjust some settings like the Black Levels. The TV does not have the crisp, inky blacks compared to like expensive LG OLED TVs but it’s still really good with the Dolby Vision. I also stream some movies on my Apple TV 4K 2021 and it still looks good. HDMI 3 & 4 support Dolby Vision at 120 Hz and I use them for my soundbar, Sony UBP-X700 blu-ray player , and Apple TV. Love this Tv!

The clarity and sound is great! You can change the picture to different modes very easily. The remote is nice too! It picks up voice commands easy. It’s fast too. The tv itself is a good size for my living room. Price is a little expensive but the brand is very popular and the features are high quality. Definitely recommend. The picture is taken at night in cinema mode and vivid mode. As you see the picture is very clear even with the lights off.

I bought this a week ago and I’m amazed at how clean the picture is, my PS5 also runs 4K at 120hz with no problem at all. Definitely a great tv

i've always owned cheap tv's but always wanted a sony tv. i found this tv on a good deal and decided to buy it. i'm blown away by the picture and sound quality. i like that it has 4 hdmi ports, enough for my nintendo, super nintendo, wii U, and sound bar eARC. my only complaint is that the power cord is very short. i dont understand why sony would make a super expensive tv and include a very short cable. it's a pretty big annoyance to the customer.

Right out of the box my new 55” Sony Bravia 4K TV delivered a spectacular picture! It’s easy to navigate and wow! What a picture!!

Learned my lesson with cheaper models/brands. When it comes to TVs, spend the extra money to get the most out of it. The X90J is not only a powerhouse for streaming movies and tv shows, but it legitimately pairs with the ps5 effortlessly. If you’re looking for one of the most impressive pictures and all the bells and whistles for gaming without having to step up to an OLED, this tv will deliver all of that and more.

Sony for the Win! I was looking at Samsung Qled but the Best Buy Associate asked me what i was going to use the tv for and i told him primarily gaming he directed me to the x90j and i was Blown away amazing picture, clarity and sound!

Always had great experiences with Sony tvs this tv has the 2 hdmi hook ups for 120hz so for the Xbox series x and the ps5 should work greatly on this tv. Controller is great with quick launches to popular apps for streaming and an app button to get you to the other apps just as fast and with the google assistant makes everything work smoothly picture quality is awesome with contrast colors. Only thing I don’t like is some apps the sounds is either louder or quieter I don’t know if that’s the app or the tv.

Excellent picture/shape/ size! Perfect for family events and sports! My little 2 year old loves Blues clues ; and all of the colors on the TV just pop out every time we watch! AmazingTV upgrade for sure! On top of that ; the sound quality is like a theater! It’s amazing !!
