But, almost immediately, I had to restore it to factory settings, and start the customization all over again (signing into all the streaming apps is a chore). Annoying. Other than that, a solid TV.

I knew I wouldn't have space for a sound bar, and speakers on the mantel could be tacky, so I wanted a tv that had good speakers out of the box. The rep at Best Buy talk me about the Bravia line, and I went with his recommendation. This television has a decent low end. (not boomy, but sufficient), and the sound performance is overall much better than most televisions. No issues on installation or setup. Would definitely recommend.

Sony 55" X90J LED Review

I have had the Sony tv for over a month and am very happy with the purchase. Excellent picture, pretty good sound for TV speakers, upscales great as we watch a lot of SD cable broadcasts. 4K streaming content looks amazing. Only one small drawback is the viewing angle where if you are sitting past 45 degrees, the sharpness of the picture will drop off a bit. Highly recommended.

First impressions started with the packaging as the screen was well wrapped and had blenty of padding. The feet are tool less install which a plus. Picture is sharp with very good out of box colors. The upscaling engine does a great job producing clear programming and the local dimming produes crisp blacks. The sound quality is surprising and should suffice for tv shows, but for movies a sound bar would be recommended. Overall you would be well satisfied with this set.

Nice to see a tv with fully functional 4k 120hz out of the box for my Xbox Series X. Excelent HDR for an LED tv Bright and vivid colors, comes with a free year of Sony's Bravia Core streaming service which also gives you 5 free movies for sign up. Great functionality with Google tv and is very snappy with its software.

Sony Bravia X90J good but not the best.

I had one for 12 years and paid the same price for this model that long ago. For gaming it does have a 4K 120hz capability but you can only utilize two hdmi ports for it. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video just to name a few are already pre installed. Cable is fine but some channels don’t have full hd so it does look off, you’ll see snow and blurry graphics. If setting up definitely get two people because it is a nightmare to mount by yourself. Audio is amazing no need for a sound bar. Picture quality is dependent on the user, I think it could be better in my opinion. I’ve seen other TVs with smoother, more color, and less blurring.

Apps installed on tv is very convienent. Four stars because after 3 weeks wired internet stopped working and shutdown my home internet. TV works fine with wifi.

Couldn't be happier with the clear picture, the great sound or the great access to Apps, like Disney+, Apple TV and Netflix. The TV swiches between TV and watching apps seemlessly and works without external devices, except for HBO Max, which I haven't been able to get to work. Otherwise everything works well so far and I couldn't be happier with the TV. It's truly a smart TV and the lightweight remote is great.

And comparing the various brands on display in the store, it was no question that we would stay with Sony. Now wall-mounted in our living room and up-and-running, we are enjoying the tremendously improved watching experience, especially for hockey, soccer and basketball games. The true to live colors and excellent picture quality are amazing.
