The store staff answered my questions about the available brands, but based on color and sound clarity the Sony - 55" Class BRAVIA XR X90J Series LED 4K UHD Smart Google TV more than fit my requirements. I've enjoyed the visual display, and even subtitled TV programs are easy to follow. I was thinking about getting a sound bar, but that doesn't seem necessary at this time.

We got this for a good price as far as this model goes and it has a good picture, good sound, plenty of apps that work as they should. Overall it's a good tv but I have the feeling that I could have gotten a 55" TV that was comparable to this one for much much cheaper. Do your research before you buy because I wish I had taken the time to do it. I'm taking one star off for value/pricing.

The team was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and accommodating. When we saw the unit in the store it was hanging on the wall so we had no idea of how wide apart the two feet are and that it wouldn't fit on our media table. They had to set it up on the floor until we're able to arrange for a wider table. Not the Geek Squad's fault!

I originally was going into the store to buy a different manufacturer that I had researched. After looking at the display and being able to see a better quality of TV, my wife and I opted for the Sony XR X90J. Streaming videos or watching dvd/Blu-ray disks all look awesome. I even use it for my computer monitor and our kids use the XBOX 1 and love it.

YouTube TV Compatibility Issue

The last one lasted about 5-6 years but admittedly I moved a couple of times, so I think wear and tear got to it. I needed a 55" for my newest space, so rushed out and bought this one. We have to stream where live and we use YouTube TV. Would think this Google TV would be compatible, but certainly not from what I read on the internet. It continually dumps the internet, whether it be wi-fi or ethernet when I connect to YouTube TV. Netflix? No issue. Prime? No issue. Only YouTube TV. Did the repowering step, the factory reset, unloaded the software, reloaded the software, and di the repower, factory reset thing again. Very random issues. Sony Tech Support person was zero help as they only read a script. Sony Tech support never reached out as promised within 2 business days, so I returned the TV. To be fair, the internet search for this problem also identifies a couple of brands that have issues with YouTube TV, but that's not what I am experiencing with my new LG (though I hate the magic wand).

This is usually not the case for our TVs nor the experience we want you to have. There are a few things that you can check if the issue occurs on a specific app only.
