Landed on the X90J as probably the best pick for the money to replaced my old Bravia XBR KDL-40XBR7 (which was still running great almost 11 years later). I couldn't be happier with the X90J. Out of the box, it was pretty good. Tuned the settings for a few minutes and it looks amazing. Smart functions are much more fast and responsive than other brands I've used. The only downside is the speakers are kinda meh; they arent bad by any means, just lack any real punch. In this price range though, I'd prefer the focus be on the image, and I knew I was buying a soundbar to go with it. After a few experiences with Bravias, I can safely say the next time I'm looking to replace one of our TVs, I'll be looking at Bravias first.

I have had it for about three weeks and we have enjoyed it very much. It replaced a very good Sony 46” XBR form 2008. I read several reviews and comments from individuals who said “ get the biggest screen you can afford and fit into your room. Since we mostly watch regular tv and not many movies I don’t feel a larger tv would have made my viewing experience any better vs. the amount of wall space it would have taken. If you watch a lot of movies I can see where the bigger screen could benefit your viewing experience. That being said I think most anyone would enjoy the added benefits of the 90J over the models below it.

This unit is running Android TV as an OS and I was able to sideload apk's with no problem. Installed VLC, Kodi and Total Commander. Play store is there, buried below multiple menu's. The processing hardware runs smoothly with no lags. I have played multiple mkv files thru the built in player and VLC with no errors. The networking is solid but I ended up going with ethernet. The Sony linked with my Sonos Beam with no problems. I really like that it has an NTSC 3.0 OTA tuner built in. That is really what made the sale. Overall a worthy tv. I have no real complaints or negatives to put out there and would definitely recommend this to my friends looking for a good solid tv.

Has amazing display amd frame rate.works great with surround sound and creates a good theater experience and have owned it for a year.

Always been a Samsung guy. This TV totally changed me. The picture quality will blow you away. I have no issue with side viewing angles. The sound is even better than a Samsung TV. It is easy to set up and the 4 HDMI cables are useful if you do not have a receiver to run all inputs through. Google Smart TV took me a little while to adjust to as I am used to Roku. So far I have had no internet connection issues nor apps shutting down or freezing on me. There are so many settings on the TV you really need to play around with them to set up TV just the way you like it. You cannot beat this X90J for the price.

My wife and I both have astigmatism and were not expecting to see a large difference in the quality of the picture. We were wrong. The colors are crisper and there's almost a 2.5D feel to the picture. Like it's about to pop out like a 3-D picture but it doesn't. But there's still a depth there we weren't expecting to see. I also use this to play video games on. I have a PS5 and there is a noticeable difference in graphic quality between this and the 32" Samsung that I use when my wife wants to watch tv. Even in the store I could a huge difference in quality between this model tv and the Samsung equivalent.

Took some tweaking to get the color and black level setting just right but the picture is fantastic. Android tv works flawlessly. I’m not an expert when it comes to these televisions but I know what I like and how I like it and I’m that area I have absolutely no complaints. If you’re willing to take the time to tweak the setting or if your good with the factory defaults you won’t be disappointed!! Sound quality from the tv alone isn’t bad but it isn’t great either so I Paired it with the Bluesound Pulse+ soundbar and sub+. This thing rocks!!

Most amazing thing is watching older movies and TV shows, even B&W shows, upscaled - it breathes new life into them! It's not OLED so the backs don't have that REALLY DEEP BLACK, but it's fine as it is. Sound is great too. My old HDTV was hooked up to a 5.1 sound system and while I'll eventually do the same with this Sony, the sound is good enough so there is rush. I bought it as an "Excellent - No Parts Missing" open box...but when I unpacked it, there was 1 part missing - the power cord. Kind of important. Luckily I had a spare but no matter what the sticker says, if you buy open box, make sure you know what's actually in the box.

Picture quality is great and supports next gen gaming features.. still waiting on VRR support though..to come in a later update.. Has EARC support for better sound systems with dolby atmos. Only has one hdmi 2.1 port other than the EARC port though. So if you have a sound system, Xbox series x,, and ps5, you have to choose which two get 2.1 support.
