Thank you for purchasing our Sony XR55X90L and while we are happy that you like the picture quality of your new TV, we regret to hear that you are having some issues. We apologize if you were not properly informed about the exact measurements of the TV stand. This 55-inch X90L has two stand position (Standard/Soundbar position). They're both 42 1/8 inch / 1067 mm wide. You can also wall mount your new TV. Sony offers a flush mount TV bracket designed to mount this TV flush to the wall (SU-WL855). For safety reasons, product protection, and to make sure that the installation is performed correctly, Sony strongly recommends that the installation of our TV on a wall be performed by qualified professionals.
