The UI is so fast, the image is so clear AND BRIGHT! That was the main reason I was looking for a new tv because I have a very bright living room that lets in a lot of sunlight and I was ready to spend twice as much on a Samsung QLED but my locall BB salesman talked me into this and I couldnt be happier.

The Full Array LED provides extraordinary picture. The only issue I would caution buyers is my first Sony BRAVIA Full Array LED had problems in that it began switching off and continued to do so until it never came back on - I don't know if this is an issue with Sony Bravia Fully Array LED tv sets so hopefully it will not happen with my second. (I had the extended warranty which I highly recommend)

Best TV I Have Owned

I got this when it was on sale and all I can say is wow. I originally got the TCL QM7K and noticed that the up scaling and motion processing was terrible. I decided to return it and get this Sony TV. Even being a little older, this tv blows the TCL out of the water. The upscaling and processing js absolutely amazing. It might not be as bright and colorful as the TCL mini-led tv, but I’ll take accuracy any day over brightness. This tv also is quite bright.

Colors are great even before adjusting. Motion is great as well but I've adjusted one tick on some motion controls just for my preference. Better than all the others at this price for various inputs. You can see why OLEDs are a step up if you watch side by side, but this TV looks great anyway. The screen is glossy so in a room with bright windows and other lights it would be annoying. Sound on this is very interesting because it is very immersive. No bass though. If that's a problem you will need external sound and Sony sound bars can let you use both TV and sound bar at the same time.

Don't know about sound as I purchased and am using a sound bar because the TV is up against a window, which muddles sound. I have had the TV for a month or so, and am still messing around with the remote control. I am ultimately able to find what I am looking for. But I am 69 so this doesn't come naturally to me.

Amazing tv

The 120hz is the best part, I had so much trouble finding an affordable gaming tv. Don’t really have any negatives to say about the tv. The quality is amazing but when it comes to color it gets as good as it can get without it being a oled screen.

Nothing too difficult, but sometimes the navigation is a bit contrived, switching from platform to platform. Remote is not the best design, either; it could be easier to use. Overall, it is an excellent TV! If 4.5 stars were available, I would give it 4.5 stars

One of the speakers is now blown—the volume was set to only around 43 (out of 100) with a CD playing from a disc player. Added a soundbar to address this problem. Google TV is frustrating to use. The remote control design could be better—I sometimes press the Power button when I intend Quick Settings. Blooming due to FALD is noticeable with many films. Not mentioning anything specific but think of any where the title sequence is white text on a black background. Seeing the blooming during credits is a bit annoying. Overall the TV is worse than expected but still acceptable.

Sony Bravia vs Hisense

Similar specifications made it difficult to decide. In person they both looked very good, with Hisense U8 looking even more bright and "flashy". At this point U7 was out of the the picture mostly because I could not find a demo model that worked at 3 different locations. Also it seemed that U8 would be more comparable. The final decision was made because Sony had somewhat more realistic picture, it would be used in a room that was somewhat darker anyway, I felt that Hisense pushed the picture color to be more than necessary and Sony has a processor that made the ultimate decision.

The viewing angles weren't great. It seemed kind of blurry to us, too. It was almost like there was a film over the tv screen that needed to come off, but there wasn't. When using surround sound, the picture was delayed from the voices, which was incredibly annoying. We never found a brightness or color setting that was good all around. We were always changing it depending on the content. Also had some haloing going on. Didn't care for that. Sound was underwhelming too. Gaming had an odd movement to it. Honestly didnt have it long. 2 weeks. I figured for paying over 1k for a tv, I should be a little more happy with it. But for what I paid, it was just ok, so I took it back.
