WHAT A HORRIBLE PREMIUM TV

Definitely not worth an investment. I have owned this tv for about 6 months now and im just overall disappointed with it. the fist couple months was phenomenal the picture is great and hey it does have a good set of tv speakers. but i wouldn't recommend this tv for "future proofing" overall if you want to build a dolby atmos system around you definitely can if you have traditional receiver. but if you're in a small bedroom like mine you have to settle and i settled for the LG sj9 dolby atmos soundbar . at the time it was the best and cheapest solution out there and it was a no brainier but the bar only has 1 hdmi input (where i have my bluray player connected ) but hey sony equipped the oled with hdmi 2.2 and i thought this would support dolby atmos it has too and it never supported this feature whatsoever so i waited for a couple days to get the new dolby vision update to see if this will trigger some type of atmos feature but not only does it not do atmos support but it also doesn't support dolby vision from the actual hdmi ports either. overall in my experience sony has dropped the ball on this tv and looking back at it i would've gotten the Lg 55 inch c7 because of the features it has and the way of future proofing yourself.

Dull center, magenta vignette

Was great when I first purchased. After about a year and a half or so, the center of the screen stopped producing a vivid image. Very dull and now it looks like there is a magenta vignette around the display. Got nowhere with Sony Support and the only verified Sony repair center near me is out of business. I can't even look at this thing without being distracted by the dull area in the center. Very disappointing.

Defective right out of the box. Contacted Sony Support it was validated as Defective. No picture, no snow, nothing. So disjointed for the $4000 TV. Had to jump through hoops to prove purchase and model serial #. Now wait for Sony to contact me for new delivery. 7 to 14 days. So much for a fantastic Super Bowl event.
